Not shabby craft beer selection, party pleasing wine options, and hard liquor available in purse size and party size :) this LQstore has easy going staff, and get ya through the line quick. It’s a small little gem, and conveniently open on Sundays and after hours.

Decent selection and open late and unlike the BCL Store down the street the beer is actually cold.

Why they didn’t expand the store years ago is beyond me. Hulllooo, beachy tourist zone with no cold beer off-sale? Yes, I know, Vancouver. You have rules that you reeeallly like to stick to – but c’mon. Beach, beer, bikes = summer life-ing. Even though their cold beer and wine selection has grown over the years, the choices themselves probably won’t provide me with what I *actually* want — a settlement is what I will inevitably will leave with. But for real though, I’m not complaining. Cold beer, cold wine, brightly lit, mostly pretty friendly cashiers, open late, and open on holidays, this is a safe bet for a last-minute bottle or three when wandering the mean streets of the West End.

This place always comes through for me on holidays when BC Liquor is closed. It’s a small shop so the selection isn’t as great as BC Liquor, but they keep a good variety of beer and wine in stock. There are even a few beers here that I haven’t seen at BC Liquor(Bowen Island Hemp Blonde Ale!?), and most of said beers are actually kept in fridges! Hooray for cold beer!!! The staff is always super friendly as well. I’d shop here more often if it wasn’t for the prices being a bit higher than BC Liquor. If you’re wandering on Denman and feel like hitting up English Bay, this is the perfect stop to make along the way!

It is great to be able to get away from BC liquor sometimes. There is something that bugs me about a government owned booze shop. I am not sure what it is but maybe it is like they are watching me and how much I drink and writing it down on some giant database. Then one day they will knock on my door and declare«you sir, have had enough!!!». Aside from my consiracy theories this is a great little shop. It has a modest but well chosen wine selection with something at every price level. They also have a great selection of single beers. For a small store you can buy a large range of beers from American boutique Ales to Asian lagers and Czech Pilsners. Another great thing is that these are all stored cold and ready to drink. The price is probably a touch more the BC liquor but the service is eons ahead. With three staff on generally in the small store they are always wililng to offer advice and guidance.
