If you are looking for great asian cookware… this is the place! Got a proper chinese carbon steel wok for quite a deal, and lots of accessories for cooking at great prices. The owners were helpful with my questions. Will be back I’m sure.

Tinland is a weird little chinatown shop with just about every cooking apparatus you could fit on counter top. Pots of every size, strainers, cast iron pans, woks, and anything else for your restaurant of a kitchen. This store is perfect for anyone who wants a gourmet warehouse like experience without the price point, or the lure of gourmet chocolate at the counter. Good luck finding it on E Pender though, you might drive right past!

Designer this small gem is not by any means. If you’re on the verge of starting your own restaurant or needing items for your kitchen after moving out of mom and dad’s house this is your go to place for kitchen cookware and gadgets. You can come here with $ 50 and leave with a boat load of goodies such as knives, clevers, chopsticks, sushi trays, and gigantic stock pots. The competitors on the neighborhood don’t compare so bets are to hit up Tinland by far. It’s fun to look at the cast iron teppan plates, cups, glasses, syrup trays, and woks.

If you are looking for cheap housewares, look no further than Tinland. They have everything from plates to silverware and woks. While MIng Wo is a step fancier, Tinland is perfect for people who are on a budget and who does not want to spend more than they need to. So don’t expect to see Wusthofs, Emile Henry or Le Creuset here. Many items are comparable, if not cheaper than Ming Wo. Be aware that quality might be an issue with their stuff though. My friend bought a set of stainless steel measuring spoons but it was not sturdy as he’d hoped. But overall, it’s a shop worth checking out.

If you like semi-cheap kitchen items, then Tinland Cookware may have the item you need. It looks like a small shop when you look at it from the door, but in reality, it has three or four aisle that go back quite a ways. They have everything from $ 3.99 spoons(a dozen), kitchen gadgets, bowls and plates, and just about anything else. This is a good and cheaper version of Ming Wo, though not as good of quality. Enjoy Tinland… And as always… Have Fun!!!

Cookware, housewares, restaurant supply. Plates, bowls, kitchen gadgets, cutting blocks, pots and pans, utensils of all types, glassware, knives, cookware from small to very large, steamer baskets, food storage, you name it. If you need it or want it for your kitchen(whatever the size), they’ve got it here at decent prices. It is the kind of place made for reliving one’s childhood amid dreams of ‘playing kitchen’. Or the kind of place for having dreams of winning the lottery. Brilliant store.
