Universal Laughter is a venture to promote physical, mental, and relational wellness in both the community and the workplace.

History

Established in 2009.

To promote the venture, in the summer of 2009 a series of 130 daily laughter videos were made and published to Youtube. Later in 2009 a public screening of the documentary Laughology was organized. The founder, Chris, appeared on Canada AM in 2011. The 2013 All America Laughter Championships was MC’d by Chris. Universal Laughter has served many organizations and events including health conferences, legal firms, seniors centres, and public events.

In his former career as a software developer, Chris also helped facilitate workplace wellness by promoting fun, growth and connection for more than ten years. He then took that joy of working with people and embarked on a career change in 2009. Trained as a career counsellor and Laughter Yoga leader, Chris is now a workshop facilitator whose passion for working with people is evident in the heartfelt comments his clients continue to give him. «Chris was amazing!
