Vancity Savings Credit Union

Vancity ruined my life… I applied for a debt consolidation loan through them and was denied based on the fact that I did not own a home and had no collateral to back it other than my car. I have since heard many people that work in the same institution as I, with the same wage and job security, talk about loans they have been approved for from other banks, for the same thing and similar amounts, whom do not own homes. Since then my debt is eating me alive and my credit score has dropped beyond anyone giving me a loan now. I trusted them as I have been a customer of theirs for over 10 years and at the time figured if they didn’t approve me, nobody would… They have no trust in their loyal customers and don’t care about us as they claim to. To top it all off, the loan advisor when declining my application says gleefully that they cannot give me the loan but will happily mail me a visa with a $ 5000 limit! Yeah, that’s just what I need… More debt. Thanks guys, for your excellent customer service and consideration for a hard working single mother, whom is only trying to get by and has done nothing but give you my loyal business, for over 10 years. My credit was in good condition at the time, btw…

Anytime a bank/​credit union has their own parking, esp. covered, even better, entrance/​exit on the side street plus free Hastings st. except during rush hour.
Just something about corner locations that’s exciting ;)
Lots of tellers, compared to Chinatown & Main/​Terminal.
