Wency did an amazing job, it’s the first time I don’t feel any pain and the result is perfect! Wency is lovely, friendly and very professional. The studio is also very nice and clean. I am definitely coming back for my next wax!

I was apprehensive to get waxing done after having an extremely negative experience a few years back.
Wency was so accommodating and was able to create an environment that was relaxed and fun! I am considering getting waxed regularly now — so amazing!
Fun tip: if you have a random patch of hair (eg. Back if legs) and are booking online, put «Add Patch». Perfect when you only want a small section and not the entire treatment.

Highly recommend seeing Wency at her lovely salon! She will make you feel comfortable, make you laugh, is very professional and thorough. I was in a rush one eve and she was quick and efficient when I needed that, but still made sure that everything was done properly. And she makes it as painless as possible. Go see her.

Wency is amazing! It really shows how skilled and experience she is because the entire process was as painless as a wax could be and the end result was great. Wency was extremely professional and meticulous, but she’s also very sweet and personable. The waxmi studio is very clean, nicely decorated, and the waxing table had a heat pad which was a bonus! I also love how you can book an appointment online and there’s a good amount of side street parking. Overall, this was the best waxing experience I’ve had to date and I highly recommend Wency and her services.

I’ve been seeing Wency for 2 years now on a regular basis. Once I found out she was no longer at her old job I looked her up and found out she opened up Waxmi. I’ve had my share of waxing services done throughout lower mainland; even though my experiences were positive, I just wasn’t satisfied.
Wency took care of my needs from the first day I met her and is still very accommodating. She works quickly, is very hygienic and also takes the time to make sure you’re doing okay during the service. I’ve also had the glitter service done a couple of times. You choose the image and the glitter colours, and Wency makes sure you’re bedazzled ;). I always have a fun time talking to her through out my services. Not only is Wency sweet and kind, she’s quite the jokster too.
Waxmi’s décor is quite chic; every time I come in, I feel like I’m at home… I feel comfortable and relaxed. Each and every area of Waxmi is very clean. Bonus… the goodies in the waiting area :)
I love Wency and I love Waxmi. If you’re looking for excellent customer service, excellent product, and a clean and hygienic place, then Waxmi is the place to go and Wency is the person to see.

THE BEST waxing experience! I know, weird to say right? I have been getting waxed for 5 years and dreaded going to my old salon. I decided to try Waxmi because of all the amazing reviews and they are all true! Wency is extremely professional, knowledgeable and has a high level of skill. I used to leave my wax appointments feeling bruised and super sore but I left Waxmi with NO pain and minimal swelling. Not only is Wency skillful but her personality is so friendly! I will be coming back regularly, especially since this a new small business! So happy I found it!

I used to get waxed regularly at Sugarbox, but soon found it increasingly hard to justify after they raised their prices and the leaving of my favourite waxer. So I jumped onto Unilocal to look for alternatives more compatible with my student-​with-​a-​part-​time-​job bank account. After some surfing I was ecstatic to find Wency, who I used to see at Sugarbox, at Waxmi!
She was pleasant as always and very attentive, easy to keep conversation with and the time just flew by. The place is clean, adorable and comfortable. She’s thought of everything! She was detailed with aftercare instructions and made the effort to ensure everything was to my liking! I will definitely return, even if it’s a little out of my way. I would definitely recommend her for everyone, especially first timers!

Where do I start?
First of all, the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by this amazing person, Wency. She is the nicest and friendliest person ever! She makes you feel very comfortable and you can make out that she treats everyone like they are her only clients.
I was very nervous because I was getting my Brazilian done and I have a very low tolerance for pain, but I didn’t not feel a thing! She did warn me to take a few deep breath when it was an area she knew it might hurt a little and that was only twice. Her light touch and bright personality made it the best experience ever! If you are thinking of getting waxed you have to come to Wency, you will not regret it.

Wency is the best in the city. Her studio is bright and airy. She’s not only a complete professional but one of the nicest people I’ve ever met in my life. I don’t think I can fully express how wonderful this place (and Wency who makes this place) is. It is an odd thing to say about a waxing salon, but my experience there was hands down the best I’ve ever had. I’m definitely coming back! I’m going to start off by saying Wency is absolutely amazing because she really knows her stuff. This is my first time getting a Brazilian wax and I was more than satisfied with the quality of work done by Wency.

I just had my first appointment at Waxmi and I am definitely going to be a regular. Wency is sweet, friendly, and caring; she is a true professional and clearly wants to give her customers the best possible service. Plus, she is so easy to talk to that you you feel relaxed right away!
At Waxmi she has created a relaxing upscale atmosphere, with spotlessly clean and air conditioned rooms. I will be recommending this place to my friends!

So goddamn thorough and such a lovely person to chat with.
Even my boyfriend was surprised when I told him I am going for a waxing at WAXMI again. Reason being that I have never EVER pre-​booked any appointments in my life except for my dentist (and I never looked forward to that), but now whenever I see my upcoming WAXMI appointment in my calendar coming up, I go «YESSSSS!»

I had my first visit at Waxmi today and it was fantastic. I am a regular with arm waxing and have visited many salons prior, but today’s appointment was different because I also had my first ever Brazilian wax done.
Wency is so friendly and she definitely made me feel at ease with constant conversation to keep my mind off of the Brazilian waxing. She is incredibly thorough in her waxing and made sure that no stray hairs were left behind. She is also very knowledgeable and talked me through the process so I understood everything that was happening. If there are any ladies out there contemplating Brazilian waxes, I highly recommend Waxmi!
Other details I enjoyed about my experience were that she sent me a reminder text the day before about my upcoming appointment and included some tips for first time Brazilian waxers. Also she uses cotton fabric strips instead of the paper-​like kind which I appreciate and feel that it does make a difference.

Wency is great!!! I’ve been waxing with her for over a year and a half now and I go routinely for maintenance. My first time ever was relaxing and fun– a bit painful but so fun! I remember chatting with Wency and then before I knew it, we were done!
Wency has very good work and professional waxing ethics. She is a strong believer of no double dipping and using good quality wax, materials, and tools. She really cares about how you feel such as asking if you need water, heating pad on, and pretty much whatever you need! She will do a good job and will listen to the things you ask for in your service. She always asks you to check yourself afterwards and if you need something done she will gladly fix it until you are pleased.
Prices are decent and I am happy every time I go! I know Wency will take good care of me. She also has these glitters that she can put anywhere on your body. We have so much fun deciding on the colours :)
The store is nicely decorated, clean, and will make you feel pleasant coming in. No over the top girly/​dolly environment– just a nice welcoming and homey feel but you still feel like you are going to get pampered.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Wency (I have already, btw). You will find her to be a friend more than your esthetician– she knows all my secrets! P. S. her boy advice is amazing! :p She is also very good with booking, I usually make my next booking right after my service but I have called/​texted her many times to reschedule and she is great with trying to get you in.

Wency is AMAZING! She is gentle and skillful. It’s like going to a friend’s house to get your waxing done, except she knows what she’s doing! Which is very important! (No hot burning wax!)
Wency and I chit chat and giggle about the silliness in our lives and I totally forget that I am getting waxed until she says «we’re done!»
Wency is my go to beauty for all my waxing needs. I am so glad she opened up her own shop in my neighbourhood! Her shop is very trendy and welcoming. It doesn’t smell like chemicals or look too clinical which is good! I also like that she doesn’t double dip into the wax and that she changes the applicator with every application of wax. (This should be a norm, not the exception)
All in all I have nothing but praise for Wency! I definitely recommend her to all my friends and strangers too! :)

HANDS DOWN THE BEST WAX EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD IN VANCOUVER. I randomly stumbled across waxmi while going for lunch in the neighborhood. I have visited many different aestheticians in this city and honestly, this was a very memorable experience for me.
The quality of wax that wency uses is very good. It is gentle on the skin and does not cause any pain whatsoever.
Having a pleasant conversation with Wency and getting to know her story made this seem more like a social outing rather than a wax appointment.
WAXMI is definitely my new go to wax parlor. The shop has a very classy interior and hygiene is very well kept. Both are pertinent factors which pushed me towards writing this review. Yay!
