We definitely had an overall good time. But after all said and done we’ve left with mixed emotions; mostly due to the aggressive and unprofessional Bouncers! Here’s the story: The event planning; it began and ended smoothly, with a reliable and reachable contact ‘Yao’, all our questions were answered and needs were met, from a private booth, to bottle service, gluten free options for our platters and having everyone let inn at once and seated. Our servers were quick and professional especially ‘Anna’! The night went well, with amazing music playing and drinks flowing! Although the dance floor was dead in the beginning which was around 11PM… It was surrounded by a much older crowd standing around the bar and small Tables… As if waiting… Waiting for something to happen… A show Perhaps? Noooo… Anyways… Our group was definitely the happy and most happening of the whole place, and although we were surprised by the crowds reaction and behaviour in the beginning(nearly Midnight) we decided we would get the party going! And we did! And as for the crowd being mostly older… The majority were in their 40’s and even 50’s(by the looks of it) we even made a friend who was the life of the dance floor –he, who was 78!!! Was the most happening dude! He really was! The place was partially busy the majority of the, but got swamped and probably hit capacity between 12:30 — 1:30am! And quickly started to lite up… Many booths were empty though, so we felt we could have gotten a larger space since the availability was clearly There! The décor was. Ice not off the top –and the place felt much smaller then it looked from online pictures. 1 issue was, There was a young lady who was put to dance in front of the DJ booths, it was more then clear she was paid or asked to be there, which seemed awkward and especially since she was put in a very uncomfortable Spot which was in front of the DJ, as well as the steps to get from our booth to anywhere else in the club, like the washrooms, the dance floor or step Out for a smoke, and each time Our guests would walk by and apologize to HER for being ’ in HER’ way, she never failed to give a very ugly stare! Although… She was blocking our space! As well as passing on negative vibes which included sorry Looks and stares Into our booth, our private space, which we paid lots to be inn and were there for one reason only! To have fun! weather she was dancing or sitting on the ledge of the DJs booth she seemed angry! And it’s most likely not the reason why she was brought there. 2nd– Our biggest issue and concern was the bouncers/security, those men basically ‘juice bags’ as most of our guests had called them were physically aggressive and disrespectful… we were a group of 15 people and each and every single One of us had a at least 1 negative experience with those guys. One of my girlfriends had some guests physically thrown AT her! Which caused her to fall over and injure herself! Today this young mother of 2 has an injured leg which had left a mark! She never got an apology or was even asked if she was ok! not only that, our Question was Why on earth would they physically throw people out onto the street… Where their other guests were out smoking or chatting? We’ve had bouncers mouth off and disrespect our guests, as well as myself! At the end of the evening the music suddenly stops and the lights start going on… Before 3! We were told the party is till 3ISH. Ok, So we get the ‘hint’ party is over time to go… As we begin to gather our things, suddenly the bouncers r shouting to leave! I don’t take that behaviour very well, and ofcourse reply to him, and request he gives us a few moments to get dressed and find our things– as a response he continues to shout, he doesn’t care and wants to Go home! As I’m putting my coat on I remind him, that the club has not yet shut down, and the clients who just spend over a thousand $$ on a private booth and bottle service would like to get their belongings and call cab as He continues to be disrespectful and immature! I can understand that many of their clients have lots to drink, and perhaps they are used to ‘fighting’ verbally or physically. But I was not that person. I wasn’t drunk or ready to fight. I’m a lady and I demand respect! We were out to celebrate my husbands birthday. Showed up with best intentions and were all on our best behaviour. He needs to be reminded that this was not a children’s dance, nor was he dealing with aggressive idiots but rather with a mature crowd, young parents & professionals who were hospital Workers, to bankers to builders! And rather then allowing the clients A moment to gather and coordinate… We felt like misbehaved children or even dogs who were being thrown out! For being ‘bad!!!‘ Business owners and their staff need to remember ‘Clients are Clients and All must be valued’ high paying or not, regulars or first timers, treat with respect and appreciation! Or go out of bus!

I really do want to give this place a higher review because we had fun, but there were some problems. We came here as a group for my brother in law’s birthday and all entered pretty quickly and we’re taken to our booth nice and quick, right by the DJ booth. The interior is super nice!(See pics). Our server Anna was so polite and helpful, and fast! We immediately got two bottles with some awesome fireworks brought over and plenty of non alcoholic drinks to mix and for designated drivers, and it was a lot of fun! The music was great all night long and we had lots of fun. The food we ordered was not bad, it tasted good but not much selection(all greasy and meaty). The clientele was older(30+) usually and that was not a problem, but you’d think grown adults could leave the drama and cut eye at home. *sigh* Woodbridge never changes. Now to the ugly. A 78 year old gentleman kept following us around to the point that he invited himself to our booth and was drinking our drinks and eating our food without asking. That made us really uncomfortable because we didn’t want to say anything or ask security out of respect and being polite but… Come on dude. I knew this place was for an older crowd but… You know. One of the security staff was extremely rude to us all night and was harassing us on several occasions. Yelling at us and scolding us for trying to close the curtains to our booth because people kept inviting themselves in, so we wanted some more privacy. Let it be known that we were the only ones being given this treatment. When the night came to an end the music stopped abruptly and the lights were turned on so we began to regroup and gather our things. We were all quite intoxicated at that point trying our best to responsibly gather all our things and get a cab home. The same security guard began to scream at us the get the hell out because they all want to go home and to hurry up and scram out of here like we were a bunch of raccoons digging through his trash! I stopped to ask if our server could please let him know how much we just spent at this club so he could get his pay cheque. Not that it would change anything, he was harassing us because we were taking up his precious. Sorry to have to make you do your JOB for an extra 2 minutes. Jeez… One of our guests was also injured as the security physically threw someone out of the club and directly on TOPOFHER. She demanded an apology for having a human being thrown at her, but they refused. They later offered to buy HERHUSBAND beers as an apology! Not even to the victim but to her husband! Talk about misogyny… All that being said, would we come back here? Likely not. But besides everything we had great company and did have a good time. But unfortunately left with a very bitter taste in our mouths. Oh also someone got stabbed and died that same night behind Dave and busters so… I might not be back there for a while.

It is a nice place to go clubbing. It is composed mainly of older crowd so if you are end of thirties or forties u should check it out. You still see some younger guys trying to hook up with older women for the fun of it. And I somehow start liking the club as it has it is own vibe. I guess older people have a different style of partying. There are some younger women as well and guys are more straight to the point. But this place is fun and I will suggested to others.

Upscale club that caters to an older clientele. With that said… The music is kinda slow paced… Actually got me wondering if it was so as to prevent it’s patrons from breaking a hip?! Has to ask the DJ to play something faster but he informed me that 8t 2as by request of the club that he play stuff to keep the older crowd that they mainly serve. Bartenders were equally as slow as the music. Somewhat inattentive. Seemed more interested in flirting with patrons than making a decent buck. $ 10.00 cover is decent though.

Attended a work party at Ivy, the food is really good, surprisingly. Usually when I have a bite to eat north of Steeles the food is mediocre at best. The service was even better. After dinner, the venue turned into a club. The music is good but the crowd is much older. I would say between 30−50vyeard old. I would definitely consider this place to be a cougar bar.

4.5 Stars I had a really great time at Ivy on Saturday night. I loved the venue and the music. A half star off because they were a little snotty to my boyfriend at the beginning and I wish they had drink specials. It was very pretty inside and I liked how the bar was located directly behind the dance floor. I arrived at 10:40. I called ahead of time and put myself and 3 others on guest list. I was told guys would have to pay $ 10 and ladies were free as long as we arrived before 11. Pleasant surprise! We were all let in free! The place was busy before 11 but not full. It started to get a lot busier and the dance floor was busy(which I liked!). I really like going here because there’s free parking, it’s easier to get to from Brampton, and it’s fun! Drinks were kind of expensive, my friend wanted to go to Luxy which had $ 4.50 mixed drinks(this makes me appreciate $ 3 mixed drinks and beers in St Catharines even more :() but I’m glad we chose this place instead. Shot of(eww) polar ice vodka: $ 7.50 Mixed drink: $ 7 Beer: $ 6 or $ 7 All in all I had an amazing time and can’t wait to go here again!

Ok picture this, it’s Saturday night, I’m driving so drinking is not an option but I’m attending a friends birthday celebrations so I’m gonna have a good time regardless. Destination is the Interchange Plaza @ Hwy 400 + Hwy 7, Ivy Social Club the location. Ivy, I enjoy this place not matter the weather and no matter my level of sobriety, but for so many different reasons. Aesthetically, I love how this place looks, it’s super sheik from the entrance right into it’s main room to it’s VIP lounges, bar and upstairs private area. I’ve been enough times to explore Ivy in it’s entirety and she’s a babe from top to bottom! Targeted towards an 25+ crowd most nights, I gotta admit I love this place because the crowd here is either 35 – 50 year olds attempting to party like they’re younger OR23÷24−30 year olds trying to come across a little older. The result: some hilarious college bar makeout/hook-ups that will leave you saying OHEMGEE! I’d hate to label this place as a cougar bar but if leopard print and leather was a highly valued wild pelt, hunting in Ivy would be like shooting cougars in a barrel — with Gin & Tonics and love. That said, the crowd is a good looking crowd, everyone done up, men and women, so there is sufficient eye candy of all shapes and sizes. And THEN you have the staff… Oy vay! I’m gonna keep my comment as PC as possible, but I forgot why I was standing at the bar to do… twice. The outdoor patio space is great for the smokers with ample propane lamp heaters for folks to huddle under, and it’s very private with high plant/fenced walls. They lose a star for the place being a pricy night out for Vaughan, $ 10 cover, $ 5 mandatory coat check, and $ 8 beer/bar well drinks. It’s definitely targeted to people with money so come prepared to spend some dough OR Go with friends who bought bottles, get in for free, stash your coat at the booth and drink soda water the whole night. Either way their amazing music, and great DJs will help make your night amazing!
