Très bon petit resto du bord du fleuve
Leurs brunchs sont très bons et copieux
L’idéal est d’y aller l’été, on y respire la fraîcheur et on peut contempler le fleuve du resto
Il y a un peu de monde mais pas trop, pas de quoi faire un line up
Le service était très bon, les prix raisonnables
L’été, vous pouvez même y aller en Bixi, laisser le Bixi à une borne de Verdun et marcher 10mn pour y aller, ça vaut la peine :)

Ce resto vaut le détour, du moins pour sa superbe vue sur l’eau. Les déjeuners sont très similaires au resto du genre, bref, je n’ai pas été impressionnée.

This is a great little restaurant located just a few minutes from my house, so I will likely be eating here a lot.
I love sitting outside to eat in the summertime, and this place offers a great view to do just that. I went for brunch and was not disappointed with my French toast with fresh fruit and English cream which I ate while overlooking the St. Lawrence River.
It looks like they have heaters on the terrace for cooler days/​nights, which is great. It is also located by a bike path and park, where you can walk off your meal when you’re done ;)
Te service was pretty good. The initial girl to bring us to our table didn’t really say anything, so I was happy when I realized she would not be the waitress taking our order. A young waiter served us and was quite friendly.
This place would get 5 stars if the portion sizes were a little bit bigger. The prices seem to be the same as any other restaurant, but I was able to eat my whole meal without feeling stuffed (which might be a good thing haha) and I felt I could have eaten a little more.

Great breakfast place. Staff is very attentive and courteous, and the service itself is very quick to come take your order and bring your food.
Le Geant is a delicious dish if you’re very hungry, comes with really good potatoes and the bacon is perfectly cooked. Not 5 stars because the some of the green onions in the potatoes were old and tasted bad.

Would give it a 5 stars but I am a regular for weekend breakfast only so I don’t think it would be fair.
The view is great, parking ample, the restaurant is nice, service is great and food is good (potatos are amazing!).
The restaurant’s acoustics are kind of bad which is my only bad thing to say. The noise seems to be reflected all over the place so it gets noisy.
Not a big deal really.

J’ai été déçue. Le service et la qualité des plats n’est pas à la hauteur du prix et le décor n’a pas de charme en soi. Il vaut mieux se prendre un vrai bon déjeuner puis aller se promener sur le bord du fleuve ensuite.

Oh, I just LOVE this place.
Situated by the water in Verdun, Crescendo is a great little gem. Clean and always well organized in terms of service, we’ve never had a bad experience here in the last couple months (been back 5 times already!). The food is yummy, the portions are massive, presentation is great, and the prices are awesome. You really can’t go wrong.
They have great soups and salads (you have to try their arugula salad. and their salmon salad. mmmm) as well as good meaty platters as well.
Always served with a free appetizer of bruschetta, followed by lots of bread and in house marinara sauce.
I want to go back just thinking about it.
A great place for a quick and chill bite to eat.
Dress code is casual!

First of all i was hoping for a romantiky evening with my wife before i left for Toronto for two weeks… The waiter was very nice but a wee bit clumsy… the view was spectacular. The food was tasteless we got there at 730 and they had already already. run out of mussels and the place was empty. Calamari was slightly greasy and over cooked. Who the hell gives pasta sauce with bread. My wife’s pasta was bland and tasteless even tough it supposedly had anchovies and according to the chef was supposed to be drowned in oil. My seafood pasta had yesterdays over cooked squid bits and cut up shrimp that was equally over cooked and i am pretty sure made to look like mussels. Of the four types i was supposed to get i got two. Suffice to say even the view is not worth it cuz i could get the same one for free just by walking in front of it like i do everyday… Run from this place. At the price they ask for you are better off going to any Giorgios or Pacini or any other italian restaurant run by people who are not italian.

I went for brunch with a group of 12. During our service, we ordered 5 fruit cocktails and all 5 were salty. After sending them back, they came back salty *again*! Aside from that flop, I’ll admit that we were all quite satisfied wit our meals. The brunch menu was quite typical and they didn’t go out of their way to make it particularly special. Bat that’s ok, cause sometimes, all you want is an american-​style breakfast. No frills. And, well, that’s what you’ll get at Crescendo.
The one thing the place really has going: the view! It’s a great spot to just sit and eat on the terrace while enjoying a nice view of the marina.

L’emplacement du Crescendo est joli, mais la nourriture y est mauvaise. C’est le genre d’endroit qui prétend être un bon restaurant, mais qui né l’est pas du tout. C’est un resto de volume, où on rempli la place le plus possible et tant pis pour la qualité des plats et du service.
C’est la deuxième fois que nous y allons, une première fois pour le souper et la deuxième fois pour un déjeuner. Et les deux fois, on a eu l’impression d’un endroit mal géré, désorganisé, avec de la bouffe «cheap». Ce qui énerve le plus de ce genre de resto, c’est qu’ils ont le culot de prétendre être bons, et né se gênent pas pour charger en conséquence…on paie pour l’endroit, non pas pour la nourriture et le service.
Chose que je né fais jamais, je me suis plainte au propriétaire du temps d’attente déraisonnable pour manger des oeufs (oui c’était la fête des Mères, mais quand même, arrivés à 12:30 pour recevoir nos assiettes à 14:15). Il s’est comparé à Cora disant que leur temps d’attente en de mêmes circonstances était de 1:30. Pas d’excuses, rien!!! Bref, on a mangé des oeufs trop cuits, mauvais et froids…
Je n’encouragerai jamais ce genre de resto où on insulte notre intelligence et notre jugement. Aucun respect pour la clientèle et pour la nourriture. On né manqué pas de bons endroits à Montréal, alors tant pis pour celui-​ci, ils né m’y reverront jamais.

Beautiful waterside setting contrasted by tasteless eggs, greasy hash browns and weak coffee

Les Crescendo est un joli restaurant offrant une superbe vue sur l’eau, à Verdun. Sa salle à manger hyper lumineuse rend les brunchs du dimanche vraiment agréables et énergisants! Le restaurant né sert pas que des brunchs, mais je n’y suis jamais allée pour le souper. Lorsque je suis déménagée à Verdun, j’allais assez souvent bruncher au Crescendo et j’aimais bien l’endroit. Cependant, plus j’y allais, moins j’appréciais. Le service est toujours assez bon, malgré quelques petites lacunes… surtout si on est un gros groupe! Lorsque j’y vais seule avec mon copain, tout va bien! Le service est rapide, courtois et la serveuse ou le serveur né fait «jamais «d’erreurs. C’est une autre histoire lorsque nous y allons en famille, par exemple… c’est si long! Nos assiettes n’arrivent jamais à la table en même temps, ce qui est assez désagréable. Des œufs, ça refroidit vite!
Côté nourriture, c’est assez irrégulier. Parfois les plats sont délicieux et bien chauds, mais à d’autres occasions ils sont moins bons, beaucoup trop salés et froids. J’aime aller bruncher à un endroit où je SAIS que la nourriture sera excellente à tout coup. Ce n’est malheureusement pas le cas du Crescendo. Maintenant que j’ai découvert d’autres restaurants 100 fois meilleurs pour le brunch, je n’y vais plus…
L’année dernière, le restaurant offrait les mimosas à 3,50 le dimanche, wow! Depuis un moment déjà, cette promotion plus qu’appréciée n’est plus en vigueur… Un peu dommage! Surtout qu’ils sont faits avec du jus d’orange bon marché et du mousseux pas très bon. Si quelqu’un insistait pour m’y emmener, j’irais sans doute en espérant m’y sentir comme au tout début… Après tout, leurs pommes de terre déjeuner sont si bonnes!

Very good breakfasts and not expensive at all… I came here last week after a long, intense and sweaty night and it did not disappoint… good food and friendly staff

Le Crescendo reste le restaurant où il me fait le plus plaisir de me lever de bonne heure pour passer mon déjeuner.
Tout juste à côté de chez moi, le crescendo offre une superbe vue sur la marina. Son menu et son service sont toujours excellent.
Laissez vous tenter par le cocktail de fruits frais pour ensuite y aller avec un de leur déjeuner un peu plus santé. Terminer avec un grand bol de café au lait.
L’été, l’endroit possède une terrasse, idéal pour profiter du beau temps !

Le Crescendo est synonyme de déjeuners avec une vue imprenable sur l’eau.
Les déjeuners sont excellents, j’ai essayé un peu de tout et je n’ai jamais été déçue.
Les prix sont relativement plus élevés que les autres restos à déjeuners du coin, mais la qualité et les portions en valent la peine. Les cocktails de fruits sont à essayer. Et si vous êtes d’humeur festive, on y sert même des mimosas.
Généralement, le service est très courtois et relativement rapide même lorsque le resto est rempli. Je n’y suis jamais allée à l’heure du lunch ou pour le souper, par contre.
Seul hic, il est impossible de faire des réservations pour les déjeuners la fin de semaine et on nous fait attendre sur le pas de la porte jusqu’à ce que tous les convives soient arrivés…

Great service with typical standard breakfast affair, large menu of options for crepes, french toasts and all sorts of eggs. ‘By the water’ location would be the only reason to come to this joint, if looking for a bit more interesting stuff, stick to plateau for best breakfasts Montréal has to offer.

This has probably been the most positive experience of any coupon deal experience of any I’ve bought. I purchased a coupon on Tuango for dinner. I was bowled over by the quality of food, service, prices, ambience and view. I had a full course meal for $ 22, which included the potage soup, salad (or escargots), pasta with tomato, aubergine, etc sauce, and decadent chocolate cake. My mother had a seafood pasta with mussels, shrimp, calimari. They offered complimentary bruscetta, as well as delicious fresh gourmet bread and tomato dipping sauce.
Everything was superb. We sat at a window table near the mini-​marina as the sun set.
I intend unequivocably return, and am grateful that the coupon introduced me to this place.

La première fois que j’ai passé devant Crescendo je prennais une marche le long de la rivière en soirée en plein hiver. Si ça n’avait pas été du fait que ça m’a permis de voir des gens à l’intérieur en train de souper, je n’aurais jamais pensé que ce bâtiment est un restaurant car il donne plutôt l’impression d’un centre communautaire. En plus, pendant l’hiver, il y avait le foyer en marche qui m’a donné l’impression d’être un resto dispendieux.
Quelques mois plus tard, une fois que les tulipes ont fait leur apparition, j’y suis allée pour déjeuner après avoir fait quelques recherches et je n’ai pas été déçue. Les choix de déjeuners sont très nombreux ce qui a garanti un soupir exaspéré de la part de mon australien qui murmure «How long will it take you to decide today?»
Les assiettes sont très généreuses, les fruits sont frais et juteux et la patates sont un peu épicées pour leur donner un bon goût.Le prix sont corrects mais côté un peu plus dispendieux que la moyenne pour un déjeuner à Montéral. L’été, la terrasse est jolie avec une vue sur la rivière.
J’ai encore à y aller pour essayer le lunch ou le souper. À suivre…

Imagine a sweet spot on the river, overlooking the marina, shaded under trees, a hot, humid summer’s day, you’re famished and need some much-​needed victuals to get started.
Well, if you’re lucky enough to find yourself in Verdun, the ugly-​duckling neighborhood in Montréal, which is very close to becoming a full-​on swan, and is starting to give the much ballyhoo-​ed Plateau and Mile-​End a run for it’s money, you can always stroll over to the riverside and have breakfast or brunch here.
This place has it all.
Bagels done up French-​toast style, Eggs Benedict with goat cheese and smoked salmon, all the usual egg, meat and toast combos, dozens of versions of Eggs Benedict, omelets, waffles, French toast, pancakes, $ 3 mimosas, buckwheat pancakes and crepes, yoghurt and fruit served up in parfait glasses. Come here alone or with a friend and enjoy the start to a brand new day while tucking into great eats and taking in a great view.
I’ll be returning.

Excellent restaurant! Very good breakfast… the view can’t be beat. The service was friendly and attentive to our needs.
