Le Terra Nostra Bed & Breakfast

My husband and I recently had a truly wonderful stay at Le Terra Nostra B & B. The location is away from downtown Montréal, in a residential neighborhood called Verdun with gardens, trees, and less than a block from the bike path along the St. Lawrence. We found it very comfortable, with well-​designed bedrooms/​bathrooms, by the amazing innkeeper, Mireille. There is also a lovely garden in back, where we had breakfast every morning, since it was summer. Mireille provided a delicious breakfast each day, which was completely different than the day before… we would always have a juice, then a little amuse-​bouche, then the entrée, which could be a frittata, pain perdu (French toast) or something equally delectable that she would prepare. She was able to accommodate any dietary restrictions her guests might have, such as gluten-​free. You could choose to have caffe latte, French press coffee, tea, all expertly prepared… there was always a relaxed mood at breakfast, unlike some other B&B’s, where you feel the innkeeper is rushing you a bit. Mireille is a charming, generous, very accommodating person, who is a wealth of knowledge about her neighborhood and all of Montréal. She made us feel completely at home, and we were truly able to relax during this segment of our trip, which was priceless! Mireille seems to have found her calling in life, and her guests are so much the better for it.
