Was looking forward to the stay based on the reviews, but was very disappointed. We stayed in room 6, which was not accessed through the guesthouse door but through the private innkeeper’s door. The room was nothing like advertised on the website– I think the room was part of the innkeeper’s suite that was quickly converted into a rentable space, unlike the honeymoon, family or luxury suites that were advertised. The summary was: –the room smelled like sweat and chlorine –there was no trash can in the bathroom –the closet in the bathroom was used as storage for the owner’s backpacks –you could hear sounds of showers and running children above and around you, despite the website’s claim of «soundproof construction» –posters of richard branson and his motivational mantra in the room and in the dining room(what was that all about??) –no view whatsoever for this«oceanside inn». bed frame covered the only window. Debbie was the only innkeeper there and she clearly had her hands full. She was friendly but that did not shake the feeling that we were put in a musty smelly room that was hastily turned into a money-making enterprise.

What a gorgeous bed & breakfast! My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here during a road trip from California. We initially only booked one night, but loved it so much, we stayed a second. Dieter and Paphada are wonderful hosts, from welcoming us upon arrival to serving delicious breakfasts and giving us endless ideas on things to do/see(their knowledge of the area is unmatched). We really enjoyed the historic castle that is within walking distance. The house and rooms are top notch, including ocean views from pretty much anywhere in the house, to heated floors and comfortable beds. The pictures don’t do the place justice. Highly recommended!
