Someone raved about their espresso drinks so I tried it. DO NOT TRY THEIR ESPRESSO DRINKS. I haven’t tried the food so I can’t say.

Came in for lunch — food is ordered at the counter. Lots of delicious Mediterranean treats; lots of Turkish influences. I got the Donair (beef/​lamb meat wrapped in a pita and grilled). The meat was hot and juicy, the veggies were cool and crisp. Great sauce — a very satisfying wrap! Tried some Baklava as well — very nice. Overall, a wonderful experience — wish I could have tried more of the deli things (Turkish Sujuk, cheeses, phyllo creations!).

Great selection of pantry items as well as fresh house-​made dips, pastries, olives, meats etc. Tzatziki and labneh are outstanding. I’d heard great things about the falafel here, but wasn’t overly impressed — way too «mealy» tasting with huge patties and no outside crunch like good fresh falafel should have, and the tight panini-​style wrap was very dry overall (couldn’t taste any hummus or tahini, either they forgot to add it or it doesn’t come with any). Looks like my search for good falafel in Victoria continues. I’ll definitely return to Fig for the dips though!

I’ve only bough olives here so far (several kilos worth), but they’re the best in the city the lemon stuffed Sicilian olives are out of this world. The olives are not only high quality, but a third of the price the grocery stores here charge.

Stopped in for lunch today… had never been there. We had a falafel wrap and pastitsio with a order of spanakopita… we shared everything. It was all very tasty and quite delicious! We were eyeing up some dessert and a turkish coffee but ended up being too full after our lunch. Had to walk around for a bit and then came back for a couple pieces of baklava and the turkish coffee. They were both very good as well. I would definitely recommend a visit. We will be back to try something else… maybe pizza. Looking forward to it already!!!
