Nice pub eatery with a stable menu and seasonal plates as well. The mcrae’s mojito is pretty classic :) i always come on Wednesday nights for the wings deal

McRaes is a great neighborhood pub. My husband and I come here often, at least once a month and often more than that, and the food and drinks are consistent. Pub food with a west coast twist. The mac and cheese is delicious, and the lettuce wraps are great for a lighter dinner. The roasted burrito is huge and tasty, and the pulled pork sandwich is amazing. The quinoa salad is also surprisingly good, and they give you a good sized portion of quinoa. The servers have always been friendly to us. Highly recommend. We will be back again soon.

Decent food, good drinks, lousy service = 3 stars. The food is pretty standard pub food, for the price it’s good. Some things better than others, don’t bother paying extra for their off tasting guacamole which is obviously purchased in tub size from costco, my friend was also surprised to see that the Frank’s hot sauce she asked for with her tacos was on her bill for 0.85… really? The po boy is great, burrito and the potato wedges are delicious as well. The service seems as it is going downhill, my last two visits it has been a bit painful to order drinks, then order food, request the bill, then wait again for the card machine. It was a bit busy, but the server’s attention just wasn’t there. I’ll keep coming back, maybe just less often and on slower nights.

Busy lunch crowd today but well managed by the staff.
As noted before, you will find great value for good food here. Had the Kung Pao which was delicious and filling.
Our server was Denise who was friendly and very efficient. It’s always nice to feel welcome and appreciated by staff and Denise did this very well.
Definitely recommend.

Great local stop for some good eats, drinks, and live entertainment. Service is always good, and cool décor! I’d recommend this place for a casual dinner and drink with family or friends.

I like this place a lot. It’s a comfortable and casual room with a nice blend of people.
The big thing for me is the value. I can’t think of another place in town where I can grab a few pints and a straight forward, tasty meal for this decent of a price. At least not a place I can sit down in anyway.
Highlights for me:
–Full size pint glasses are a nice touch in a town of rapidly dwindling places that serve 20oz pours.
–taco night
–short rib Sammie. A basic beauty.
–I don’t have to go downtown.

The food and atmosphere is great. The servers are owners, so they make sure they take care of the customers. The food is amazing. I haven’t had a bad thing on the menu yet.

I came here with my boyfriend and his parents before going to my dance show — we were pleasantly surprised! We’d been meaning to come here for almost a year and never got around to it, and this is our last weekend in Victoria so it was a perfect time to come!
The staff was nice, though not terribly outgoing — and the food was delicious! My boyfriend and I got the traditional breakfast (the hashbrowns were delicious!) and his parents had salad and a vegetarian sandwich. They loved it too.
I’d definitely come back! The atmosphere is great and so is the food — what else could you ask for?!

I go here about once a week and have never been disappointed with the service (although the bar service is more attentive than the table service). Good selection of beer, decent prices, solid food. Also a good crowd — this place has a nice mix of college kids, professionals, working class folks, young families, and retirees. Two thumbs up.

Food is ok. A bit pedestrian. I’m not sure if it’s trying to be an urban lounge or family restaurant. Definately will give it another try though.
