Out of Ireland

Quality shop. Heavy on sweaters, light on standard Irish knick-​knack. Great for apparel, scarves, ties, etc. Huge hat selection.

Very cool store with fair from all over the British Isles. A lot of great wool products from Ireland, everything from hats to sweaters, and coats to capes. They even have a great selection of rugby and soccer jerseys. This is a fun, if somewhat expensive store. Definitely worth a stop, most likely you’ll find something you can’t leave without.

My husband and I were so excited to visit this store but were incredibly disappointed with the costumer service. A blond lady with a British accent was at the jewelry counter, I asked her to show me a few rings that I liked and after I didn’t like the first ring I tried on, she assumed it was because of the price and proceeded to tell me the price of every ring I wanted to see before handing it to me (prices were already marked and I can read as well as know the value of gold). After moving on the men’s area it felt like we were followed there. We were well dressed and had other shopping bags but we couldn’t help the feeling that we were unwanted in this store. This was rude and distasteful and by the time we found everything we wanted we were just too peeved to buy anything from them.
Here is a tip for you: don’t assume that someone can’t afford a particular item just because they don’t fit into a certain preconceived «image» you have. We came to the shop ready to buy an left disappointed. We ended up finding the things we wanted at other stores who had well mannered people working for them.
PS: I am the young woman who tried on the celtic gold rings and wanted to get a second silver one for my mom.

This is a really beautiful store we visited for a ½ day stay with our cruise ship. The store is loaded with gorgeous Irish clothing and goods and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My husband bought a knitted cap and I thought their prices were very reasonable. Believe me, here is California, you would pay at least double for the same items, maybe more. My friend said she visited this store years and years ago, and she was also impressed with it. That’s a pretty good track records for retail. I highly recommend you take the time to visit it when in Victoria.

This store is interesting. It’s full of stuff from Ireland. I saw beautiful fair isle knitted sweaters and things. All really great. The items are pricey but I guess they came from far. I didn’t have room my luggage for souvenirs but its a shop worth visiting.
