Paboom is locally owned and operated; we have been having a ton of fun bringing unique, affordable and offbeat products to our customers in our Victoria BC location since 1998.
Paboom, you get my very first Unilocal review. Starting with a attention grabbing graphic sign in a great location, and an always clever and changing window display, you’re pulled into Paboom. They do amazingly well with the small store space, and as you walk through to the back, you pass through livingroom things, to bathroom, kitchen and finally bedroom things. Yes, many items are brick a brack, and yes, some of them are also sold at «dollar stores», but a keen eye will prevent you from paying too much for chopsticks, etc. Some of my favorite items are from Paboom, but more so, some of my favorite wandering downtown times have been in Paboom. If for nothing else, it’s worth a visit for their music. I always ask what they’re playing when I’m in. A real gem. Customer of 10 years.

Paboom is a great place to find inexpensive decoration and accessories for your home. While I’m not sure that everything they stock is necessarily the highest quality, they have a good selection of basics like candles, vases, cute throw pillows, and mugs. Tip: It probably pays off to take a quick browse through the store on a regular basis, because they’ll occasionally get in some very cool new stock(I scored an awesome chalk board for my kitchen at a ridiculously low price) that sells out very quickly.

This is the store for stocking stuffers. They have all manner of chotchkes for the young and immature at heart as well as decorative items for those who simply have wall and table space that isn’t quite full enough. Towards the back are the kitchen items where I never fail to find some dish, mug, vienna sausage skewer or corn on the cob pokey things that I have to have. It’s a little tight(space wise) so I wouldn’t want to bring a stroller in there(the term bull in a china shop comes to mind) but it is a lot of fun for all ages so give it a go. I am not sure that the generated address here helps to explain its location — It’s located on Fort St. across from the fountain entrance at the Bay Centre.
