History
Established in 2005.
Cathy has worked continually in bookshops since 1991, starting with the Okanagan Bookman in Kelowna BC. She opened Sorensen Books in June 2005. The location at 1027 Cook street has successfully housed a bookshop for over 20 years, previously Hawthorne Bookshop. After Hawthorn’s owner retired, Cathy opened Sorensen books with a renovation to the previous bookshop and with a completely new inventory of books she had collected over the previous 15 years. Since opening Cathy has acquired several large estates making her inventory unique and diverse.
