History
Established in 1969.
The Cloth Castle was started as a yarn store called The Yarn Barn. After raising a family Ethel Ratcliffe wanted a change. Her son Joe asked her what would bring her the most joy? Ethel, without hesitation, said a yarn shop!
After years of selling knitting supplies, sewing materials were added. Joe’s wife, current owner Sylvia Ratcliffe, came on to help with the business and the Yarn Barn became The Cloth Castle. Sylvia and her daughters have guided the store into what it is today. Although there have been many changes in the store, the family continue to work together and the business continues to grow.
The Cloth Castle has a very knowledgeable staff with over 75 years experience. Your experience is always important and our goal is to help you have fantastic results in all your projects.
