We have been going here for quite a while now as a group usually on Tuesdays. The beer is always cold, the service excellent and the wings are pretty good! Prices on the menu were slightly higher than the prices advertised on the website, I made them aware of that.

This pub used to be very good but has gone down hill fast. The servers are wonderful and attentive and i certainly don’t want to discredit or hurt them in anyway with this review. My wife and friends would go a couple of times a week but the food went downhill and got more costly at the same time. On top of that they recently did a renovation and removed all the carpets so it is now excessively noisy and I can’t even hear my wife on the other side of the table most nights. They have a music bingo saturday night that I used to enjoy. Unfortunately they hired someone new women to run the music bingo and it is a disaster. She turns up the music to insane levels, then runs her own voice up even louder decibels. On top if that she gets drunk while running the program. If you are looking for a night club scene then I guess this is a great place but not for me and my wife. I certainly hope that the Gorge can get back on track and be what it was intended to be again… that is a neighborhood pub.

This is a really solid pub. It has an extensive menu, so everyone can find something that they like. It also has a lot of TVs, making it a great place to watch a game. At the end of the day, it’s a good pub with good people, but it’s not going to blow you away.

I’m spending some more time in Victoria now, so i ventured out from some of the more cliché spots in town and found this pub. It seemed to have a good regular crowd of friendly ppl. The food was decently priced and atmosphere good. Nothing blew me away particularly, but it’s a good spot to have some beers with colleagues after work. Theyre wings and pitchers were decently priced.

Gorge pointe pub has changed their menu since the last time I went and I have to say that it’s a turn for the worse. Most of the menu items seem cheapened in ingredient quality, but the descriptions are very embellished and the prices are up. The font that the menus are written in is also a horrible choice(that may seem petty, but when you go and look at their beer list and see that it’s written in comic sans… you just have to shake your head). The service is still fine as it’s always been, but the food is just not standing out, my eggs benny was just meh at best. That’s not to say that the kitchen staff cant cook, I believe they can, it just appears they’re being held back my managements attempt to control food costs. Gorge pointe pub is still a great place to grab a beer and watch the game, but there’s very little left to the restaurant that distinguishes itself from anywhere else.

This is the first time I have ever been here for lunch and I must say, «Why haven’t I been before»?! The Gorge has a food and drink special everyday of the week and Monday is Beef Dip and $ 1.50 Tacos. Tequila is also on special and if it weren’t for that whole job thing… True to form I tried their version of French Onion Soup. Homemade and unique. Definite hints of red wine are in the broth and the onions were perfect. My only reservation is it isn’t exactly baked according to tradition as the cheese wasn’t perfect. I prefer the cheese to be so hot and bubbly it’s forming a bit of a crust around the edges. That’s just me. I will say, that unlike my other favorite lunch haunt they serve an extra piece of bread on the side. For under ten dollars this is certainly an great alternative to the brown bag lunch.
