History
Established in 2003.
This started as a hobby. I wanted a small business that would keep me active after I retired. Be careful what you wish for…
I got into tree farming because I wanted an Ponderosa pine, and I could not find one at the local garden centres. I was told, «They don’t grow here» or «They get too big for the city.» The first isn’t true. The second is. But I live in the country where I have room for 140 feet of tree. (Not that I’m likely to see it get *that* tall.)
Since then I’ve become one of the local ‘goto’ persons for edible landscaping, for shelterbelts for people in a hurry, for naturalization projects and more recently, skiny trees for screening small lots.
