Service: Busy Atmosphere: Plain and traditional Food: expected Would return? Sure. We were getting some errands done on a Saturday and were feeling like some fish. Wanting something quick we popped into the first place we found on the way home. We walked into this quaint establishment to find what one would expect from a chain restaurant: many booths, fully lit, and neutral colors. It was pleasant and familiar, and we were asked to sit wherever we wished. While it wasn’t too busy it was clear the waitress was just a little overwhelmed. Now keep in mind I haven’t waited tables so take that opinion with a grain of salt. There were some specials listed on the white board and we decided to order from that: she the haddock and I the cod. Each came with coleslaw, fries, and one piece of our respected fish. The dishes came out in quick order and hit all the right points; fish was crispy, fries felt as it they been in a proper crisper, and the coleslaw was crunchy and creamy. Nothing jumped out as a wow factor for me, but my girlfriend really liked it. Now one thing that could have just been a busy/bad day was we asked for a refill of our water and it never came. Now I don’t mean for that to count against the service usually performed here, but just something that happened during my outing. Overall the the experience was quite average. Nothing was bad, nothing great, just an OK lunch that scratched an itch for fried fish we had. I’d go back if it was on my way but I would not make a separate trip for it.

Went on Sunday and ordered Pollock & Chips(Which is on special on weekends) and fried clams. The fish batter was well seasoned. Still decently crisp after a bit of travel time in the car. The chips were average. The main reason I came here was the fried clams. I can rarely find fried clams on a menu any more. So when I heard that they had it on the menu I had to try it out. The clams were great. They hit the spot. There isn’t much to fried clams. So as long as they are cooked and crispy I’m happy.
