We would give this place 10 stars if we could! Their food to their booze is absolutely amazing! Their servers are also really nice. We had the calamari starter, seafood chicken course, the prime rib dinner and a couple drinks as well. The prime rib is excellent, very tender(medium rare). The seafood chicken was wonderful. The chicken was nowhere near dry. It was very juicy. Our drinks were made well, a bit on the sweet side but still great. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

I come here every year for my birthday and never have I left unimpressed. The wait staff is attentive and well informed on the entire menu. As you wait for your meal the table receives complimentary bread that is to die for! Its a nice touch. The food is immaculate. You MUST give the filet mignon a try. Overall if you haven’t been here then you’re missing out.

The only decent restaurant I could find within walking distance from the Sheraton, the Keg was well worth the effort. The wine selection was good, though I would have preferred a few more choices of full bodied reds by the glass. I ordered the prime rib, which is the house specialty I’m told. It was perfect — done rare medium rare to my preference, and not at all overdone. It canes with some zesty horseradish and decadent mushrooms. To finish it off, I had a 10 year tawny port which made the meal almost perfect.(I dined alone, so it would have been better if it wee shared.) The ambience was good — John Legend meets Canadian whiskey. My only complaint is that the 19 year-old hostess tried to seat me in the bar instead of the dining room without bothering to ask my preference. I guess she figured since I was by myself I would rather sip a beer and watch football than actually enjoy some quiet table where I could be away from the TV. Otherwise, a solid very good experience.

Like almost all Kegs that I have been to, the steak was pretty decent even thought it wasn’t the best steak that I’ve had. Definitely a great value. The service and atmosphere was top notch as well. I honestly can’t think of much to complain about. I’m pretty impressed how consistent the quality is at the Keg though across all their locations. The food took a bit long to come out but it was a busy night and it takes time to get steak right.

I’ve been here three times over the past three years, and had steak every time. The steak is delicious, hands down the best I have ever had. They tell you where the steak is from, and its always extremely close. I can still remember a steak I had there two and a half years ago, enough said. The wait staff is very friendly, and the ambiance is great.

Great meal and great service. Our waitresses helped me propose to my girlfriend and they made the night more special with free dessert and champaign :) Shutout to Jess, Katie for their help and the other patio waitress’s at The Keg

Do I ever love this place! The steak is always perfect and more than what you pay. The service is top notch and I always feel compelled to tip more. The layout out the place is nice. If you’re reading this, an 8oz New York would be perfect but I’m not complaining.

I love The Keg. Great service, great atmosphere, great steak. You can’t go wrong with this place. Even the bar area is great for a drink and some appetizers. Long live The Keg!

One of my favourite places in K-W. Always a good meal, friendly and a great evening. It is expensive, but worth it.

Amazing steak.(Don’t recommend prime ribs.) If you love medium well, order medium here. If you love medium, order medium rare here. I found that they always over cooked the steak a little bit. But overall, most tender and juicy steak I’ve ever had in the region.

The keg delivers a quality product at a steep price. But all in all once in a while it is worth it in my option because the overall experience here is excellent. Steak is always consistently good here and the French onion soup is to die for!

Ah the Keg. Very nice atmosphere and service. I ordered a ceasar salad, sirloin steak and garlic mash. All very good but not really interesting. Expect to pay $ 30+ a person. You are paying for the service not the food. Fancy place for boring food.

Excellent surf and turf. You can always count on them to cook a steak properly. Lobster tails were also great. Good service. The bar is real nice out front to sit and have a drink while you wait for a table. Make sure you get reservations

Well I never thought I would give a keg a 3 star, but here it is. When I attended, the place was pretty buisy, but the service was still fairly reasonable. The waitress I had was new and still in training, but she did a great job. I had ordered the NY peppercorn strip with fries. While waiting for my food, I was treated to a bowl of homemade chips which were delicious, and then their standard bread(which unfortunately I can’t eat). The food was a little slow coming out, and when I did get it, my steak was a little over done, and not much peppercorn sauce, as far as flavor it was still good. I feel that it they still want to keep their higher prices, they can’t let the quality slide. But besides this experience I’ve always had good luck with the Kegs in the past so I would still recommend trying it.

We were here on Sunday for my father in laws birthday, we had a reservation so we were seated right away, and as requested they saved us the table by the fire place. Ryan waited on us and he was very friendly and attentive. I had the caesar salad and the shrimp entrée. The salad was tasty, decent size too and the shrimp plate was delicious, try the butter dipping sauce, so good! I got the vegetable side, which were tasty. Everyone else had steak and really enjoyed their meals. For dessert we had the crème brûlée, cheesecake and ice cream pie, every dessert was AMAZING! Very enjoyable dinner and ambiance, it can be pricey but very good food!

This restaurant is one of a small chain located in Canada, with a few select cities in the US. I have visited their Waterloo location several times during business trips. After my first visit, I decided that this restaurant met most of my needs, and from that point forward, I made it the destination place for dinner during each of my trips. I simply think that this is a great restaurant for dinner. The atmosphere is conservatively presented. It has a dark warm appearance. There is a variety of music that is always being presented in the background. If you do not wish to dine in the dining area, you may dine in a bar area, where there are multiple TV monitors located about. During the winter months there is a fireplace with a warm roaring fire to dine near. During the summer, a rather large patio area is available for outside dining. What about the food? Where do I begin? The Prime Rib is excellent. Also the steaks are very good. Even their chicken and salmon is very tasty, especially for a steakhouse. If you like salads, I recommend the Caesar. And finally wonderful well presented desserts are available that include such items as Crème Brulee and a Mini Cherry Cheese Cake. I highly recommend the Mini Lemon Blueberry desert. Hostesses and very friendly, and efficient. It is a restaurant that is memorable and worth returning to multiple times.

So. Not. Worth. It. Really, save your money and have someone fire up the grill. K/W needs to nut up on their restaus. They are SEEEERIOSLY lacking.
