«Digital Ink Multimedia» represents my belief that for all the advantages offered by the digital world in representing your business, it’s still based on the principles of good design from the old world (ink).

While we need to consider things like pixels, screen resolution, being mobile-​friendly and responsive… the guidance of grid, structure, hierarchy and typography, etc still work to support a solid design that makes your business look professional and engaging to your customers.

I spent years in the telephone business and have no regrets. I met some fabulous people, and learned some amazing things that might not have been possible in another career. The business education I received in those years is invaluable to me now.

A few years ago, things changed, the market was in a downward cycle and I was faced with finding a job in the telephone industry. About that same time I received a sum of money from my mom’s estate, she had passed away the year before after an amazing life… but that’s another story. She and I had discussed the need for continuous learning throughout her life, and I believe she’s smiling because I chose to invest that money in upgrading my education with a Diploma in Graphic Design at the Centre for Arts & Technology (CATO).

This was an intense program focused on helping you learn the principles and tools used in solid designs, while providing exposure to video, audio, photography and even communications law. Over my years in the telephone
