DELICIOUS!!! My fiancé and I split the plain one and the Indian chili taco bannock. Why have bread when you could have FRIED bread? So chewy… So much flavour. The chili was excellent and it was delicious combined with a bannock on the bottom. Yum yum yum!

This place is very good the bannok is great on a buffalo burger or with cream cheese on top. They have really good salads with Berries and sun flower seeds. It’s a small menu but very good. I would recommend this place to my friends.

Awesome Bannock! Just like my Mom used to make with the cinnamon and sugar. It melted in your mouth. This puts any donut to shame!

Great food, great service. Great homemade fresh flavor. Bannock is an unusual and heavy choice for a burger but it works. The soup, a minestrone, was hearty, homemade, fresh, and not heavy. When I got up to get a napkin and the dispenser was empty, young Eddie noticed without asking and came running over with one for me. That’s a polite, attentive, and observant gesture that I haven’t experienced for a long time. I’ll definitely be back.

Good variety on the menu, the Saskatoon berry options and bannock are great. The staff was friendly and the food was ready quickly even though it was busy. Clean, bright space. We would come back for sure.

Ever since I was recommended to try this place during my business travels, I’ve made it a point to stop here while traveling through the region. The Bannock is awesome. Chili Indian Taco is my go to. Highly recommend.

It’s an opportunity to try foods you can’t get at other places. Loved the Saskatoon berry menu options… Reminds me of my childhood growing up with Saskatoon Berries everywhere. The bannock burger was nice… Different, and good to try. Patty was a bit on the dry side.

I love burgers, but who would have thought of replacing the bread with bannock! SOWONDERFUL!!! I loved it. The chilly was better than Wendy’s or Tim Hortons for sure. Definitely wanna try their other stuff.

Five stars for the service alone! The ladies serving me were so lovely and smiley and kind and good-natured and I just can’t think of enough adjectives to say nice things about them! I had the delicious veggie breakfast bannock, and it was great… plus the free appetizer cinnamon sugar mini-bannock can’t be beat — I was so hungry, it really helped tide me over for the few minutes it took for my meal to arrive. I will definitely be back to check out their lunch options. And maybe one of their bannock desserts.

One word: AMAZING. I went Kekuli Café for a quick brunch and boy, am I glad I stopped by! The bannock sandwiches are delicious! I ordered the Chicken Walnut Crunch with a side chicken soup, strawberry & rhubarb smoothie, and a berry bannock bomb. Everything tasted fresh and home made. I’ve had my share of yucky salty prepacked chicken soup at eateries and to be honest that’s what I was expecting, but instead I was served a beautiful hearty chicken soup with an insane amount of chicken and veggies in it. The sandwich was perfect — crunchy, slightly sweet and flavorful. Get extra napkins though, it’s sure to make a mess! My strawberry rhubarb smoothie was fresh and oh so refreshing. My favorite thing though, was the berry bannock bomb. It’s like a buttery, berry filled scone topped with delicious berry cream icing. Im drooling as I type!

I drove to Kelowna for a two day trip and my friends roommate had told us this café had great food. «Don’t panic, we have bannock!» I had no idea what a bannock was but I had heard they were greasy. I ordered the grilled BLT bannock while my friends had the regular bannock. It also came with a side of soup. The grilled bannock tasted like a regular BLT sandwich(perhaps I should have gotten it grilled) but the soup that came with it tasted wonderful, like a vegetable soup that had some hint of curry or other spices inside. I didn’t try my friends food but they had told me the bannock was good, and judging by the looks of it, it must have been ! It’s a different and very cozy café, I will be back if I ever return to Kelowna.

* Bannock updated * The Aboriginal run café puts a modern twist on some traditional first nations flavours. Their motto is, «Don’t panic, we have bannock!» — clever. The café itself is modern, and has a bit of a feel of a franchise — which I imagine they may consider as their business seems to be going really well. I ordered the salmon on bannock. There were several slices of lightly smoked salmon on top of a cream cheese spread. There was a little lettuce to add texture and size. It was all served on a freshly made fluffy bannock(which had been allowed to cool to not melt the spread). This was a delicious combination overall. Photo: It was served with a side sunflower salad, which was fairly standard greens with some nice touches like cranberries and sunflower seeds and a delicious Saskatoon berry dressing. Photo: Couldn’t resist trying the dessert bannocks. It was a Saskatoon berry glazed bannock. This was a really nice combination — very clever modern twist on a classic bannock. Photo: This café is definitely worth a stop when passing through Westbank. The owner seems to have grown the business nicely from what was a bannock stand in a carwash to a full fledged modern café. I wonder how long until we have a Kekuli Café in Vancouver?(Hint hint, nudge nudge)

Great food and amazing service. I had high expectations going into this place being an admirer of bannock and having never been to an aboriginal style restaurant. I was really impressed. The place was quite busy but laid out very nicely with some beautiful aboriginal art on the walls. I was surprised at how friendly the employees were with us while we asked questions about the various forms of bannock. They have fried bannock in desert style with toppings like apple cinnamon or the more traditional Saskatoon berry. As well as bannock-wiches and bannock-burgers. I started with the apple cinnamon bannock and it was wonderful. Dough was not to thick and not too fluffy with the right amount of chewy consistency. Next was a BLT bannock-wich and it was very well made. The bacon was not dry at all. Tender but cooked. And the bannock did not disappoint once again. My wife had a veggie delight bannock-wich and it was similarly delicious. We had soup with our meals as well which was great. The servers saw that we had a third person with us who didn’t order anything and they even brought her an extra bowl of soup! Of my limited exposure to aboriginal culture I have always noticed that hospitality is very important. Kekuli not only has delicious aboriginal styled food but their hospitality is in keeping with the culture as well… So don’t panic and go get some bannock!
