First Tracks Lodge

We stayed here in September 2015 for two nights in the 2 bedroom suite. During the day we rode downhill at the Whistler Bike Park, which is just a 5 minute drive down the road. The First Tracks lodge is a beautiful resort that has everything you need for a relaxing vacation in Whistler. The facilities are very well maintained and the view from the rooms is great.

This was our 4^th trip to Whistler and each time we have stayed First Tracks. We consider this wonderful place our home away from home. Everyone and everything at First Tracks is top class without being a problem. Thank you once again First Tracks for making our holiday terrific and all going to plan will be back again next year.

Great accommodations, friendly staff, and the ski lockers are literally 100 yards away from the lift. The rooms were great– plenty of pillows, heated floors, nice kitchen. There is a grocery and a few shops in walking distance of the lodge. Down the road you can also visit the Village, a sort of shopping-​mall type place with plenty of (pricey) shops. The jacuzzi is also great after a long day out on the slopes.

We stayed in September 2013 and had a 2-​room suite… it was not only excellent value, but a really excellent room/​suite… very close by to take aways and a decent supermarket if you want to eat it (after 3 weeks traveling we needed some home cooked food!).
The staff were super friendly and welcoming and they really helped us out with a late checkout and access to the facilities for the whole day of check out…
Can’t fault it really… would definitely stay again, but I’m sure the price will be a lot different in winter!!! ;-)

Wonderful value lodge — clean, neat and fully equipped with most things you would need. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, and it was great. If I stay there again, it will be because I’ve decided to cook and/​or BBQ my own meals, which is completely possible here with the full kitchen and BBQ’s at the pool. The restaurant selection in Whistler Creekside is horrible… I suggest if you stay here — cook yourself or trek over to Whistler Village. That is really the only complaint I have about this place. I’m not sure why there isn’t a better selection of restaurants — it seems strange here too — weird vibe, like it’s not sure what it is or where it fits into the Whistler scene. So quiet and boring compared to Whistler Village — yet the pubs are totally gross and over the top full of disgusting food and terrible entertainment and bad service. Overall, the lodge was great — I can recommend it — nice pool and hot tubs.

It really doesn’t get any better than this! We had a suite with a full kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry, fireplace, balcony, master bedroom with a master bath. We came during the summer, but the wether was horrid so it felt like winter. I can only imagine how great it would be to relax here after a day of skiing.

It feels like your own little cabin inside of the lodge. The rooms are very large with full kitchens and a cozy fireplace. We spent a week here in January 2012 and loved relaxing in our place after a day on the slopes!
You get a locker near the back door to store your ski gear so you can come right in off the run, put your gear in the locker and head straight up to your room with ease.

with our lift tickets. It was a great price and if you buy them before the end of November for the coming season, they heavily discount the packages!

The place is fantastic. We got a 2 bedroom unit. There were large /​deep (and clean, yay!) bathtubs in both bed rooms with nice hot water. As the other reviews mention, the gondola is right outside, so it is perfect ski in /​ski out. The rooms are very large and the place is well constructed — we were not bothered by noise.
The only downside and it was mentioned by another reviewer is that Creekside is a little lame when it comes to nightlife and dining options. So, just plan to catch a bus over to Whistler village at the end of the day. If you do hangout in Creekside, head over to Roland’s bar and grill — that place is pretty cool and the staff is a lot more attentive and pleasant than the folks at Dustys.

My wife and I stayed at First Tracks for our 10^th anniversary, just a few weeks before the Winter Olympics. I’d agree with most of the reviews here, First Tracks is in a great ski-​in/​ski-​out location, and is definitely a bargain compared to some of the other lodging options at Whistler.
This all being said, this is the quiet side, vs the Village. I mean quiet. We ate a Dusty’s the first night, and that was good, but didn’t have much interest in the Tapas bar beneath us, so off we went to the Village every night. The Village has everything, plus the crowds. I’m not sure if I’d stay in Creekside again if/​when we come back to Whistler.
First Tracks is very nice, but maybe a bit too secure. Make sure you have your key, otherwise it’s a hassle getting inside (which can be a good thing). The front desk isn’t in the lodge itself, but just across the sidewalk. It almost feels like an apartment building, rather than a hotel. Everyone seemed friendly enough, but I’ll probably stay somewhere else next time.

This is the place to stay in Creekside for ski-​in/​ski-​out convenience and high end amenities. Located adjacent to the Creekside gondola and a hundred yards or so from the Creekside village and Dusty’s. The building has a parking garage (though, at $ 15/​day for guests it’s a little pricey), an incredible lobby area with plenty of comfy couches and a grand fireplace, and posh suites.
Two of our three rooms had private baths with jetted tubs along with heated stone floors. That’s right, heated floors. Great kitchen with a decent set of cookware and table settings, just be sure to bring your own salt, pepper, and paper towels.
I’m knocking off a star because, although they claim to offer late check out if requested, they tried to gouge us for an extra $ 80 to extend from our scheduled 11 AM time to 2 PM on a very slow Tuesday.

Our place was so close to the lift we could look out and see what lifts were open on their big board.
Oh, and if you forget your key, apparently you just have throw rocks at random windows to get let in. I wonder if that kid is still waiting in the snow for me to let him in.

Though I kept calling this place Cat Tracks (not to be confused with the Cat House), this is the way to do Whistler in style. When they say ski in/​ski out, they aren’t kidding. We could see the gondola from our window, as well as whether happy hour had started yet at Dusty’s Backside (heh, heh, heh). The accommodations were beautiful – each bedroom had its own bathroom, lovely open living room/​kitchen/​dining room, and a built in beer cooler. Ok, the beer cooler was really the balcony, but who cares. This place rocks! (Just bring your own salt and pepper.)
