They do not recycle. Not good at all. Very disappointing to see no containers for plastic bottles even.

Outside of a burgeoning Mc Flurry addiction and the occasional post drinking munchies, the only thing that takes me to Mc Donald’s is international curiosity.(I see you Mc Kabab, Tel Aviv) Traveling to British Columbia, I could not pass up my shot at a Mc Poutine! It seems no matter where I am in the world visiting Mc Donalds, at least for me, is a result of a heavy night of bar hopping and need of a 24 hour spot to address the midnight(or 3 am) meal! This time was no different. These guys couldn’t have been better, I am not sure how or why they dealt with us(and with such ease) but they handled 6 rowdy Americans harmoniously chanting«Mc Poutine, Mc Poutine» as loud as we could, later encouraging 3 french travelers and our cab driver to join us. Got us in/out and happy and headed back to our hotel. The Mc Poutine you ask… did not disappoint.

This rating is solely based on fountain soda(I love fountain diet coke) and customer service. Generally, I would say that it is a 3.8 star MCDonald’s. I really can’t see giving any Mc Donald’s five stars, so I mean it’s pretty good. Some of the staff really works hard, some don’t, and some are middle of the road. The other day though there was a rather odd incident. Since I am in the polite country of Canada, there are two registers, and one line. This is not enough, but Whistler did not want the giant Mc D’s you see everywhere else. Anyway, we are all waiting in the tiny restaurant and keeping a polite distance causes it to get full. Some tourists in front of me step over as soon as one lady finishes taking an order, but she had walked away from the register and was sort of wandering behind the counter. She is not taking any more orders. She is waiting to talk to the manager, I can see it. The couple in front of me make I contact with her and she said, «That will be just one minute», then she speaks to the manager and heads through the door leading to the seating area. The tourists keep standing in front of the empty register. Eventually, the guy at the other register asks if he can help me, because I am next in the single line. I told him the couple was next. This lead to the girl behind me asking if I was even waiting in the line or just for my food. I could have easily gone in front of the couple and while I was in the store NOONE returned to that register. Why someone would tell two people from another country it would be «just a minute» then leave with no replacement is beyond me. It seems like an attempt to be polite has taken an ugly turn toward being untruthful. We may be too blunt in the flatlands, but at we are honest. Not that I mind telling the guy at register two the couple was first, but I really should not have to pay so much attention to what is happening, and make that call. She should say«Sorry, this register is closed now, my co-worker will take you next» or something. I don’t like being in charge of the line. It’s hard enough to do that when I am getting paid for it, let alone for free. Anyway, I love the dollar soft drinks in summer and sometimes this restaurant has a high entertain value, even at lunch. I enjoy it when people freak out over the way the signs changes, but that’s me, almost always sober and admiring the more interesting lives of the«chemically enhanced» crowd.(I used to work in hospitality). Generally, I find the place pretty well-run, even though the turn over appears to be high. I just thought that particular employee not telling that couple the register was closed and leaving me to run the line was not good customer service.

Our options were slim as we couldn’t find anything open for dinner at 10 pm so we came here. Service was extremely slow. We had to wait 30 minutes for two burgers, two fries and two drinks with a few cars in front of us. The guy running the drive thru was friendly even though he was obviously running around due to how busy they were. The menu is different here than in the US — double everything, wow. The skiers need more carbs. Food: 3 Service: 3

There are not many places in Whistler that are open late for food. We needed some food late one night after a long night of drinking — and so McDonald’s fit the bill. It was about 1:00 am when we arrived. This Mickey D’s is open 24 hours a day. Ordered a Double Quarter Pounder with cheese. It was made to order — hot and tasty as far as fast food goes!

After a day of boarding in Whistler and Blackcomb, we felt that we deserved to reward ourselves with some hot fudge and caramel sundaes. So we came to this McDonald’s. the Chocolate Raspberry Pie caught our eyes, so we also got a couple to try since we don’t have them in Los Angeles. It was pretty good. I think I like the Banana Crème Pie from the Hawaii McDonald’s better, though. However, we could not leave without getting some chicken mcnuggets and a couple of large fries to share. Other than the chocolate raspberry pie, the food tastes the same, just costs a little more in this resort town.

The wifey says the chocolate raspberry pie was pretty darn good. They don’t have that in L.A. The McDonalds M has a Canadian leaf in it. Kinda cool. All in all, typical Micky D’s. lil pricey though maybe it’s because it’s near the resort.

Apparently everything is bigger in Canada, eh. They have double big macs, double fillet of fish… pretty much double of everything. To be honest I was only here really drunk every night for 3 nights in a row around 2 am. The food was fast but we didn’t eat there. It location is right at the end of the village. Super great!

The 2 star rating is as a reference to this specific McDonalds. I.e. I know exactly what I’m getting and would generally give them a 3 stars but the new layout(new to me anyways — I haven’t been to this McDs in a long while) sucks. Very difficult to line up(like cattle) and there’s nowhere to wait. Whoever designed this one should be fired.

Probably the best McDonalds I have ever been to. Open 24 hours, full of customers all night. They let us stay in the corner and hang all night because we had no hotel room during the Olympics. I must say the guys who work here are phenomenal. One in particular would talk to the customers, clear their trash and clean their table. This guy would talk it up about snowboarding and partying and his crazy graveyard shift. Its awkward to say this — but I had a great time at Mcdonalds. It is definitely worth a visit late night because it is filled with drunk young people who are jonesin for a burger.

It’s McDonald’s. It’s cheap. It taste the same here as it does in France and China. The only time I would go to this place was when I was tired and needed a cheap cup of coffee when all the other coffee shops were closed. It’s fine coffee. I guess. I must say, I am so glad Whistler made them blend in with the rest of the village. The location is at the end of a building in the Market Place. The drive thru goes under the building, which is especially fun. Well, maybe not especially, but it takes the edge off of going to McDonald’s.
