Staff was very attentive even when place filled up with customers. Great energy in the place. Food was good. I had the chicken dish with prawns and scallops and great veggies. Didn’t finish the chicken as the rest was plentiful. Lisa was very happy with her salad. Price seemed fair. First time using NEXUS to cross over from Bellingham for dinner. Will do it again.

I’ve been here 4 times. I like the people and the food, particularly #21 which is a beef Phở with satay flavour to savour. Other dishes are good but this is great! It’s a tiny bit off the main Johnson Road(152 street) but not hard to find. Open for a few months now it’s becoming a comfort food place for me.

Definitely a greasy spoon, I loved this place when I had resided in White Rock. Perfect place for breakfast or lunch. I’ve had their breakfast menu here and also their burgers before. It can be tad bit heavy on the grease side but this is my go to place after watching too many re-runs of Diners, Drive-In and Dives!

Great spot to go if you’re looking for an amazing breakfast in this part of town, or if you’re a digital nomad looking to answer a few emails while having it. Would definitely recommend.

The food was meh. I had the eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was bland. Potatoes were good. I had the chunkier ones vs. shredded. Service was great but the food just was lacking in flavor. I’ll give it another try but can’t say it will be my first choice

Overpriced, mediocre food, surly servers. Skip this place and keep walking down to the beach

It hurts me to give this place low ratings but the food quality gets worse every time i go. My family and i loved this place the first visit– our waffles and eggs benny were great with the coffee! BUT the last few times I’ve brought friends here, the food has been absolutely aweful. My waffle tasted like thick uncooked cake batter, our eggs were meant to be medium but were runny and burnt on the sides. It was just a really disappointing experience and I’m sad to say this place that was originally my favourite for brunch and breakfast is now no longer on my list. Ihop has done better. :( (maybe it was a new chef on those days?)

Took my mother here for Mother’s Day breakfast and although it is small, the food was great, quickly served even with being so busy. Very retro diner atmosphere with the ambience and look, feels like you have time traveled back to the 50’s. I had the French toast and it was very filling and tastefull. Also the price was very reasonable, for me and my parents it came to just over $ 30 with the tip. But remember only cash will be accepted.

Great, kitschy atmosphere and very friendly waitstaff. The food is on-par with other diner style restaurants. The Irish Breakfast is worth waking up for — and that’s not an exaggeration. Mmm. That being said, it is teeny tiny. They also don’t accept debit or credit which is a drag since the bank ABM are several blocks away in South Surrey. There’s a convenient ABM machine set in stone across the small one-way street, but the fees are outrageous.

Breakfast at places like this(like this, certainly not this) is generally one of my favorite meals to have out. I love diner breakfasts. The best thing on my plate was the toast… The eggs I had were dry and tasteless. The bacon was just mediocre, and the same was true of the hash-browns. The toast though, was tasty. Perfectly buttered and toasted, and I love the little diner packaged orange marmalade, so that was a win. I’d be perfectly fine going to a diner with the above review if I had paid $ 4 for my meal(2 eggs, 3 strips of bacon, hash-browns, and toast)… The crazy part is that I paid at least $ 12! I know it’s White Rock, but it’s not like it had any kind of view(no water, no mountains, nothing…). Very disappointing. Definitely not a spot I’ll go back to voluntarily.

CASHONLY! They don’t take debit cards… I ended up going somewhere that does take debit cards instead. Looked great inside, but no other reference point…

It never ceases to amaze me how these out of the way little dive joints produce some of the best food going. If you didn’t know better or hadn’t been referred to this place you would hardly notice it exists and even if u did you certainly wouldn’t go in to eat cause it really does look like an old greasy spoon type restaurant from the outside. This however all changes once u get inside, there you will find nothing but character everywhere with the walls covered in pictures of stars from the yester years and to keep things authentic their all in black in white of course. The staff are witty with great sense of humors and their always personable, very much what you might expect from a restaurant where it appears everyone knows each others name. Now for the most important reason why u might visit this very unique diner, they are known throughout White Rock for their amazing breakfasts, doesn’t matter what u order cause every breakfast I’ve ordered there has been excellent which explains why they almost always have a line up going out the front door. They also make their own homemade burgers which are very good as well so in my opinion u really can’t go wrong with anything u order. If ur ever down in the 5 corners area give it a try, u won’t be disappointed I assure u! Rex

If you never venture out to White Rock but you’re finally game for the 45 minute drive, this is the place to stop on your way to the beach. It’s in a perfect location, is easy for parking(for two hours, at least), and it’s located just at the end of Johnston road. It’s probably the cutest little diner in Vancouver(or just outside, anyway) which means a lot. And in case you didn’t know, it’s warmer here, and the view when you walk down is absolutely beautiful. Yes, through the trees at the top of the infamous«hill», It might even be better than what can be found in the city. So with slightly warmer weather – what’s not to love? I adore the retro décor of this little place, complete with old-fashioned booths, a counter bar with cute little stools, and silver screen photos of days gone by that adore the walls. While the lunch is nothing to write home about,(average burgers and average salads) the breakfast is diner-good complete with those skinny hashbrowns that no one seems to carry nowadays. Note– One thing you must remember is that keeping with the retro theme – they only take cash. Although I’m giving this a 3.5 for food, when looking for a lunch/brunch place on your way to the beach, this would be my first choice. The staff is friendly and even Archie and the gang would approve(of course). It’s just not quite a four, but that’s part of the diner feel, now, isn’t it?

Great little hidden gems in White Rock, might be hard to find if you don’t know exactly where it is. Parking is on the street(parallel) and it’s free for two hours but if the spots are full house have to go around during the corner. FYI they DONOT take debt it credit cards, cash only. There is an ATM across the street but it. doesn’t work at times so make sure to have cash. Seating is limited with spots T the counter and tables that can seat four but there is one tab, etc that seats six. They have a policy that if there are two people at a table and a group of four comes in that the party of two has to it at the counter to make room for larger groups. Makes sense to me. Had the pancakes which included three buttermilk pancakes, two eggs, and bacon(or sausage) pancakes were fluffy, delicious, and massive, bacon was crispy but the eggs were a little bit dry. Oh and coffee was included in the meal as well so for $ 10.25 it was a great deal. Service was friendly and attentive even when it got busy. I will be back for sure in the future

Standard fare for a diner done very well. The décor, the service was very good. Parking was easy, and the diner was inviting. A pretty decent selection, I had an omelette, The Kitchen Sink, which had bacon, sausages, cheese… pretty much the works. Quite tasty, filling and very well done. Came with a side of toast and hashbrowns or home fries. Price was reasonable, $ 9 for the plate. The hashbrowns were disappointing. Dry, powdery and lacking in any real potato flavour. A buddy of mine had the home fries and he said those were lacking as well. But aside from that, I’ll definitely be back. I need to try one of their classic shakes — how could I not have ordered one from a classic diner. Oh, one other gripe — cash only. There’s an ATM across the street that charges a $ 2 service charge. I should open an ATM that charges a $ 1.50 service charge but I digress.
