This place is beyond comically horrible. Would not have my worst enemy sit through a ‘meal’ here. Has provided me with anecdotes of what the most aggressively terrible service can be. Saw my homie stagram some nice sashimi from here. Was craving. Here we go. Took over 15 minutes to serve first water Second water came about 15 minutes after the first(so far things are a little unconventional) Our first dish of dark(at least borderline expired) sushi rolls up about 25 mins in. Then finally THESASHIMI which I didn’t know you *could* fuck up, but this shit was barely recognizable. Pretty much everything else was abysmal. They said they were having a horrible day. Restaurant business is tough, fucking it up this hard has got to be tougher. Makes hoy look like a 3 Michelin star spot. You’re gonna wanna warp 1.7 the fuck out. Steve Aoki would be disappointed.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I first heard about Aoki Sushi through someone’s instagram post. Surprised this even existed — no advertisements or hypes on social media about an opening of Aoki Sushi. Went inside. The dining space was smaller than I expected, but nice décor. It looks like they can fit a group of 8 – 10 people for 2 – 3 tables, otherwise the rest are 2 or 4-seaters(6 if you can fit 3 people on one side of the booth). Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Their AYCE menu offers less items, but that’s fine. Service was OK — it took 10 – 15 minutes for them to check up on us when we needed some refills(and we were the only ones there on a Friday night). That was a little ridiculous. Everything was fine until we paid. AYCE on a Friday night costs $ 26!!! Holy crap! This place is NOT worth $ 26. Probably the most expensive AYCE sushi I’ve been to in the city.
