Meet the Manager

Greg C.

Manager

Greg Cox is a musician who has studied with some of the finest living exponents of traditional blues, early jazz, country, and gospel bluegrass. He credits precious time spent sitting at the feet of Virginia bluesman John Jackson, as being a lifetime’s worth of inspiration. Greg formed a Windsor-based roots music collective in 1997 known as Train 45, a group of musicians dedicated to mining the depths of American traditional music. From breakneck-speed bluegrass to Hot Club of France-style swing to eclectic interpretations of jazz and rock standards, Train 45 knew few boundaries. An eponymously titled CD was released in 2002, and the group found themselves performing throughout southwestern Ontario, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. In 2004, Greg teamed with Kelly Hoppe to form the alt-country/blues band Mr. Chill and the Witnesses.
