I haven’t been here since the late 1980s and it doesn’t look like much has changed since then. I don’t think they have Pac Man anymore, though. That said, service is great, there are 74 lanes and lanes with kiddy bumpers. And their pizza is fantastic. A bowling alley in Toronto might serve up dreadful Pizza Pizza pizza. Bowlero has clearly learned the art and style of Windsor pie. It’s bowling. It’s fun. Grab a pitcher of PBR. Throw some ball. Have a good time. That all said, the place seems to be closed for the summer or 2014. Check back in fall.

With the economic recession taking its toll on the economy in the Detroit/Windsor area, combined with rising prices at the gasoline pumps, a local one-day family outing is a great idea. Likewise, the NHL lockout is still underway, so this means no hockey games for the foreseeable future. So why not take them to largest Ten-Pin bowling center in all of Canada, where you can also stay warm during the winter, or cool in the hot summer months. Last year I visited Rev’s Bowlero Bowl in Windsor, and I was completely blown away by how large it is. With 74 lanes, they are clearly the largest bowling center in Ontario, if not all of Canada. Using the latest AMF technology, and cosmic bowling, this is something the whole family can enjoy. Likewise, Rev’s features a fully modern, and clean smoke-free environment that is a major plus with me, especially from an environmental health viewpoint. The part that impressed me was the large banquet facilities, which are ideal for throwing a corporate party, complete with catered food. So don’t let the sour economy and NHL lockout spoil your day, take your family and friends to the Bowlero and enjoy yourself.
