This restaurant is excellent, one of the best in Windsor! I have been several times with friends and with my husband. We recently went for new years Eve dinner and it did not disappoint. The bill was reasonable too. I had the pulled pork sandwich with a side of ribs and Mac and cheese and corn bread. I also shared a side poutine because I was craving it so bad. I would say that the poutine wasn’t that good, it needed more cheese curds distributed throughout it not just a few on the top. I love their sauces on the table and omg the desserts are amazing. I have had the pecan pie a few times but ordered the chocolate cream pie this time and was still thinking about it when I woke up the next day. My husband and I are just visiting Windsor from Halifax so this restaurant was on our Windsor to do list! My friend ordered the chicken and waffles and it looked amazing! Everyone’s food looked delicious you really can’t go wrong!

Buttery, moist and slightly sweet cornbread; the Mac and cheese was creamy, buttery and rich with cheddar melted over top. This is the best southern food available outside of Atlanta

Came here for dinner on the way to Detroit, found this place on «You gotta eat here’s» website. It was busy with a 45 min wait for tables(being saturday night), so we sat at the bar. The bar tender did a great job in explaining how the menu works and describing the variety of BBQ sauces. I ordered the ribs and wings combo(suggestion from the bar tender, since this is what they are known for). The portions looked small, but it was very filling. The wings were good, the ribs were fantastic, fall off the bone, just delicious. Both the wings and ribs were full of flavour, you could enjoy them without the bbq sauce if that is your thing, speaking of which, it was nice to have an assortment of sauces to try with the food. Pricing here was very fair, a beer, the entrée and dessert with tip put me back $ 40, would certainly come back here next time I am in or passing through the Windsor area.

Recently was in for dinner on Saturday night with friends(10÷24÷15). We were told the wait was going to be 45 minutes, and around 40 minutes later we were being seated. To kill some time we visited some of the stores near by so the wait was not bad at all. This place is sure worth the wait, the food was outstanding and the waitress had great recommendations! Personally, I had the Pork Platter, which was phenomenal. The Mac and cheese and waffle fries that accompanied it were excellent, and the array of BBQ sauces perfectly complemented any dish. The service was great and very professional. I will be sure to come back when I am in town again. If you are considering the trip across the border from Detroit this is a great stop, and very easy to find!

Mmmmm best bbq in Windsor. Lots of seating reasonably priced, around $ 30 a person without drinks or desert. I really like how you get the all bbq sauces and can try them all out. Service was good the last time I went. And they had nice patio area for the warmer months.

Been here several times before. Never liked it. This time it was amazing! Had pulled pork on a hoagie with mash taters… was heavenly! Hope this wasn’t a fluke… will be back soon.

A friend took me here last night and I was really pleased with the whole experience. There was absolutely no wait when we got there, and the waiter was very prompt and courteous. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, ribs, waffle fries, a salad, and the macaroni and cheese and shared. The ribs were a little dry, but I liked that they had a crust and good flavor. The pulled pork sandwich was very good; juicy, flavorful, little pieces of crusty bbq goodness, and a soft bun. The waffle fries were also good and had a nice seasoning on them. Lastly, the macaroni and cheese was gooey, cheesy, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The broiled cheese on the top took me over the edge. We had good food and good service, but the only thing I’ll mention is that they seem to be just a bit high in price.

If you’ve ever had good bbq, you’ll know why the 1 star review. Awful service, mediocre food at best. Too heavily relied on sauce to cover up lack of flavor. Way too high priced. Oh, and I hope you like chicken that tastes like fish cause they use the same oil to fry both. Won’t be back.

We had waited nearly 45 minutes on a Saturday. This restaurant used to be a failed Montana restaurant. It is a nice log house and I bet that the original builder spent a fortune to construct the building back then. If I remember correctly, Smoke and Spice started from the Ottawa Street and moved over to this special building during the financial crisis. Anyway, we were sat after 45 minutes wait and immediately ordered drinks and a two person combo meal. As expected, it took us only 5 minutes get our food. The two person combo came with ribs, wings, fried chicken and pull pork, together with side dishes To be honest, I had better ribs and pull pork in the states, but then this is Canada. They seems to lack the smoke favour that is common in the southern BBQ, otherwise, the ribs and full pork were very good. The wings were great. The fried Chicken was good but not very special. I was disappointed that they didn’t include beef brisket in the combo. It may have something to do with beef prices. On the table, they have 4 to 5 different BBQ sauce, they were all good. I think even better than Windsor’s famous TBQ sauce. At the end, we couldn’t finish the combo and took a box home.

Food was pretty good but there was a long wait and the service was mediocre at best. The ambience and décor are outdated. Overall, it’s a nice place to go if you want a good casual sandwich for a fair price.

The wings are little packages of smoky, crispy wonderfulness. The Mac and cheese rivals many a holiday dinners. The staff were very friendly helpful. This place just may be my 2nd favorite BBQ joint.

i’ll come back and clear this up later, but key points — amazing chicken and waffles with smoked syrup, it’s the recipe from Sweet T’s now that they closed down and became Mamo Burger — amazing mac and cheese, in that velveeta-and-american-cheese kind of way. creamy and delicious, this is the only side worth getting from what we tried — fantastic wings — the ribs, oddly, are disappointing. a bit tough and dry, and horribly priced to boot. They are sold in 1⁄3rd racks and for every 1⁄3rd you add on, is another $ 6. end result is paying something like $ 28.95 for a full rack, and they are SIDE ribs, not even baby backs. — solid bloody ceaser — good local beer selection. try the walkerville milk stout

I’ve been at this location once, and at the previous location multiple times(it was on Ottawa before). At the last visit to this location, I tried the«Que» for 2, which is basically the«Pig out» for 2 people for $ 39. The pricing is somewhat high for the food you get, but it was a good deal in Canada(in fairness, I’m a bit biased now to pricing since I work and live in the US now). We found the pork to be a little dry, the beef brisket was specially requested($ 6 extra, and was«ok»). The best part of the pile of meat were the dry rubbed chicken wings actually, which was a surprise. The food overall wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t «knock your socks off» bbq food. Overall the food was good, not bad, just not the type of bbq I’ve had in the US before, where the meet was like butter melting on your tongue.

Incredible. Their atmosphere is warm and friendly, the service is feast and the food is perfect every time. I love how they support locally as much as they can with every aspect of the restaurant, whether it’s decoration, food intgredients our their drink menu. Hands down my favourite restaurant in Windsor!

Who doesn’t love BBQ? I found this place to be good, I have had better BBQ but this is still pretty good and a couple of their items I tried(sampling table mates food) were really good. Besides some minor gripes about my food(not enough sauce, skimpy side portions), I was really disappointed in not having a house lemonade. In the southern U.S. they know how important and expected a tall glass of cold lemonade is while having a BBQ feast and most BBQ places, especially ones calling themselves southern BBQ pride themselves on their homemade lemonade. Get a lemonade recipe and offer a bottomless glass of it for your customers Smoke & Spice! I know I will return here at some point, there is not many southern style BBQ selections in Windsor.

Came here with my bro the other day. We made it for the lunch specials. He had the BLT special with a side of waffle fries and I had the 2-pc fish with a side of waffle fries. He enjoyed his burger and devoured his fries that he accompanies with Smoke and Spice’s Chipotle sauce. I loved my fish and the fries and had mine with the Original sauce. I can’t stress enough that if you haven’t been to Smoke and Spice yet you have to. The side orders are enough reason to come here so you can imagine how good the meals are.

Had the lunch ribs, wife had the smoked chicken sandwich and girlie had the fish sandwich. Amazing meal, amazing service. Try the home made bourbon pecan pie… oh wow! Best pecan pie EVER!

Not really a good lunch spot timing wise. If you have a long time to spare the service is slower than at most places I visit. The food makes up for the timing but lunch for 1 shouldn’t take an hour anywhere unless its farm fresh and they need to catch you a good chicken out back. The sauces are great and the«You Gotta Eat Here» show needs to do their homework a little more as I think they were paid for this advertising. I still recommend Tunnel BBQ as it’s more original backcountry BBQ grit style

The food just keeps getting better and better every time I come here. We usually get the«pig out»…which is $ 18.95/person…but 4 people have to agree to it(4x$ 18.95). With it you get: * either fried chicken or roasted chicken or chicken wings * pulled pork * 4 racks of ribs * corn bread(wow) * mac and cheese(very cheesy) * 2 sides — we got waffle fries and baked beans(delicious) The 4 of us who shared this mountain of food left stuffed… with a huge plate of food left over for a family member who could not make it. The sauces on the table were amazing… I mix the mustard with the chipotle on the pulled pork and wow…
