I like. Open late. I’ve only ever got the Peking duck. Traditional pancake for first course. Lettuce wrap crystal fold for second. Cheaper than May Wah Inn. Late Night: Windsor Peking Duck War Course 1(pancake duck): May Wah Inn(both places serve on Thai rainbow puff crisps, not quite what we had at Quanjude in Beijing) Windsor=/= Beijing Course 2(lettuce wrap with minced duck): THISSPOT Both courses are nice here. But their lettuce has always been fresh and delicious and I don’t know what they do to the fillins, but it’s good.

Haven’t been to this place I a couple of years. They still have fantastic Chinese BBQ — roast pork, duck, chicken. All the standard offenders. Their restaurant food is quite good. They’ve done an amazing job expanding and renovating the eat in area. It’s quite nice for a Chinese restaurant with comfortable tables and booth seating. The place to go for the best and largest volume of Chinese BBQ take away items in Windsor.

Basic greasy food. Staff not friendly. Zero decore. We had a large party and they were not very eager to please. Cheap and lots of napkins and tea in tin pots.

We have been enjoying Sun Hong restaurant for about 20 years or more both in the old location and the newer place. The wait staff is the best by far. Their food is the best in the Windsor area. The BBQ pork & roasted duck is the best never had better anywhere else! Spring rolls, pan fried dumplings, egg rolls etc… so yummy. The lobster special for 2 is especially good. I could go through the whole menu but I’ll leave that up to you the food is that good. One thing I have to say is if you want it really spicy you have to stress this with your waitress otherwise they will cook it mild. This is because if it’s too spicy they are afraid you’ll send it back. There is a spicy(hot) oil on each table that will compliment your meal if you choose. We have never encountered any stale food ever at this restaurant. If you go I hope you enjoy the food as much as we do. We have sent many of our friends there & now they don’t go anywhere else like us for Chinese. Food. Enjoy!

I agree with other comments here that the food is not fresh. We just ordered 3 dishes for take out and only 1 person was moderately satisfied with the food. 1 dish was flat out inedible. As others mention there are so many other good options in Windsor. Sorry Sun Hong but this was a first and last.

After a few of my go-to Chinese places closed I visited Sun Hong after a family member recommended it and I’ve been addicted ever since. This is hands down my favourite Chinese restaurant in the city! The service is fantastic, the place is incredibly clean and modern and the food will not let you down. My favourites are the #18 noodle dish and the roasted meat combination; the pork and duck on the spits in the front windows. If you haven’t been, you need to give this place a try whether you’re dining in or taking out!

Nice people but food is just okay. I can name a dozen Chinese BBQ restaurants in Canada and U. S that have much better BBQ than theirs. Sun Hong has a near monopoly position in Cantonese BBQ in Windsor area. Their competitor in town only offer takeout.

Stumbled onto this place while heading back to the US for a late lunch. Portions were decent and the food pretty good. Shrimp and Broccoli had lots of shrimp and was bland exactly how my daughter wanted. My wife had a chicken and black bean dish that was good but had too much rice and less substance. Ditto for my seafood and rice dish. It was light on seafood and taste. My son had the General Tso’s plate with fried rice. It had a lot of flavor. Pricing was reasonable. Waitress was flustered when I wanted to pay with Canadian dollars and the balance on charge.

Great atmosphere with great service! Loved their soy chicken, but roast duck was alright. We ordered the bean curd dish with vegetables, which was simply boring. The congee was also o.k. Simply lacked the intricacy of flavors. Funny enough, we thought the plain rice in this joint was one of the best we had in a Chinese restaurant in a long time. Would come back here again!

Absolutely love their food. Huge fan of their noodles in soup and their spring rolls are actually one of the BEST in Windsor. They don’t skimp on the meat! Great service although wait time is meh.

The BBQ duck and pork combo is gooooood. They drizzle some of this amazing sauce into the rice and there’s some bok choi in it too but who cares, its the BBQ and sauce that makes it really good. When I find myself across the border, this place is a must.

Another Chinese gem in Windsor. They have been around for 20 years, and have now expanded into the old Wah Court location as well. THEFOOD 6 of us shared the large BBQ sampler, Mussels in black bean, Spicy salt shrimp, Garlic Eggplant and Lo Mein. Each dish was as good as I have ever had elsewhere, and everyone in our group seems to have found a new favourite. All for only $ 67, excluding tip. THESERVICE Wow. I have recently noticed a trend of super-friendly service at some Chinese restaurants. They hit the mark, and were especially attentive to my dad who does now need a lot of attention. THEATMOSPHERE Seems newly renovated, and very tastefully done. Not the usual generic or even tacky finishes or furnishings.

I’ve no idea why this restaurant is so well-reviewed. We got the roasted pork, wonton noodles– the special dish with a combination of meats and the wonton dumplings too. Also, a cashews and shrimp. ALL of them were disappointing to say the least and certainly not worth the price. Well the roasted pork was acceptable but a bit too fatty.

I was soo happy to come across a slice of Hong Kong in Windsor. It’s like finding home away from home. The interior is clean, attractive and modern. The food is good, especially the roast duck. I enjoyed the noodles in the wonton noodles(very authentic), although the wontons would have been better with lots of shrimp. I had an egg roll craving, and it came out as a big, fried monstrosity. It didn’t taste bad per se, but is this how they make eggrolls in these parts? The service is welcoming, the meals are deals & I’d go back.

It’s a great place for roast pork! Authentic chinese food! The place may not look good — but the food there is awesome. We always order Roast Pork rice plate, congee and Beef with soya sauce noodle.
