I don’t have any strong for or against feelings for this place. It’s a small bar so it has an intimate vibe which is a nice change from the clubs. I ordered a martini though and it was… disappointing. Could’ve been a bad night but the casino makes better and cheaper ones. I mean it was $ 10. That’s a little steep. Friends were paying $ 5 for bottled beers too. I dunno, I wouldn’t come here again. There’s better places to go.

Really cute place for a date. It’s low lights makes it cozy. The drinks are amazing. The staff is great you can tell they love what they do. It’s not in common to see the owners out on the floor.

Fantastic staff who know how to mix amazing cocktails, with a super chill atmosphere/​ambience, great for date nights/​first dates and or a good starter place for boys/​girls night.

This place is super cute. I love it. Staff are nice and attentive. Décor is appealing. A good hideaway from the madness that goes on Ouellette on the weekends.

This super cute place was on my checklist during a visit on my birthday. And at first I thought they were closed for good. Seems like they opened late that day. I did manage to go in a grab one drink the absinthe which was the best I’ve had. I will totally stop by again if I am ever back in Canada! Also the one bartender was super chill and friendly :)

A place where everyone knows your name, the owners are genuine and truly appreciate your business

This was my kind of bar! No tv, good music, great cocktails and a very good bartender! We came in early, beginning of the night, first people through the door. Matt wasn’t set up but welcomed us in and was a great host.
He made us some great drinks, set up the bar and chatted with us until our dinner reservations down the street where ready!
If you are looking for a Grown up bar while in Windsor this is your spot!

Great staff, willing to craft whatever concoctions they can with the ingredients at hand.

Matt and Elinor are the BEST!!! Vermouth is our home away from home!!! The drinks are amazing, the ambiance is perfect and chill and the clientelle is the best in the city!!! There is NO other hang out place like this downtown!!!

First time there, the Groupon was our excuse. I’m sure their martini’s would be good but we opted for the Sangria per the Groupon and a couple of appetizers. The Brie was not enough for even one person — very disappointing and it was 12.85 — would not have chosen that option had we of known. The artichoke dip was also disappointing, served in a small ramekin with lots of sliced pitas — would have been better if they were toasted. Unfortunately we had to add to our order because it was not enough to share between four people. The Sangria was in a large pitcher but tasted watered down, it was mainly split between two ladies. You would have thought for that size of a pitcher it would have knocked them off their feet — but not even a buzz. When we were asked about the food we mentioned how it wasn’t enough — the bartender seemed offended by that, after that conversation, we have absolutely no service until we asked for the bill — an hour later.
The value says $ 57.35 but if you opt for the Sangria pitcher it’s actually $ 46.35. We probably should have ordered the $ 9 drinks and enjoyed martini’s instead.
It’s a nice bar, great atmosphere but unfortunately for all of us first timers definitely a bad first impression.

What a great relief to find a place like this in the otherwise desolate Ouellette strip of bars.
Vermouth is old-​school classy. One nice long wooden bar, a few hightop tables, dim lighting, nice display of liquors behind the bar. Overall, really well executed design.
They have many designer martinis to choose from that are only $ 7.50 each. Not expensive at all, and very well made. My boyfriend and I tried four different ones and loved ever single one. And they don’t skip on the booze, either.
If you find yourself in Windsor looking for a more grown-​up place to find a drink, Vermouth is the place to go!

Although a little expensive, they definitely do have the best martinis and the atmosphere in there is fantastic. It is not the place for 19-​year-​old kids from Detroit or the university to come and get hammered. This place is for grownups who like to relax and enjoy a quality drink. They play good music, tend to have neat off-​beat events, and don’t really care if you come to their bar. The owner is a really cool guy with neat stories to tell. I like asking him make me a surprise drink off the menu, whatever he comes up with, it is always delicious.

first of all remmy martin V.S.O.P is expensive cognac. If your friend is going to bicker about the price of expensive spirits then he/​she shouldn’t be ordering them in the first place.
secondly, in canada, we have taxes applied to liquor. so when your friend ordered an expensive cognac chances are it was priced accordinly. You pay for what you get.

Vermouth welcomes older & younger clientele all around.
The patio is great for sitting around and people watching. Definatly a good place to sit back relax and tie one on.

One would think that on a crowded Saturday night in an area filled with a super young crowd, the staff at this bar would do more to attract and retain the older crowd. The atmosphere lends itself to the likings of a crowd unlike the yahoos running around on the streets of downtown Windsor. When we got there it was a nice low lit relaxed atmosphere. My friend ordered Remmy and was charged what she considered to be a crazy, unreasonable price compared to what she pays in the states. The bartender took offense to this and argued with her. Another bartender came along for back up — they were a little too snotty about it. He cashed us out right away indicating that he didnt care for our business. By the time we finished our drinks most of the bar had emptied out.

This seemingly quiet and unassuming bar in the heart of Windsor boasts the best martinis for hundreds of miles in any direction. The staff, consisting of the owners — a charming, well trained married couple — and a few regular bartenders always serve up a great martini without exception. And it goes without say that the hospitality and genuine happiness, which the Canadians are famous for, has helped attract their repeat clientele. And while I do not live in the area, I always make it a point to stop in whenever I happen to find myself in the Detroit area.
And if you’re staying in Detroit, Vermouth is only a short ten minute drive and park in what is a welcomed low crime, SAFE downtown retreat.
