Blind-Shiners

This was the worst experience I have had EVER– shopping.
Everything was going great until there was an issue with the install of late December 2011(they brought incorrect hardware, and fabric which twisted and bowed.) I was assured they would be back In early January to fix the issues and install the final blind which was not in the package. Ten months later and many excuses, rude treatment of our decorator-​the solution was to pay part of the extra billing by decorator and providing me with 1 free window treatment to compensate for the time spend revisiting our window treatment program, a refund of the cost of the defective product along with a liberal dose of complaining how hard this job was. There also seemed to be an inability to answer questions on replacement products and reminders of how everything «needed to be perfect» as we were so far away!
I had paid for install and mileage as we are outside of the city for which I have not received any return compensation, I also now have walls to patch and paint as a result of the inept handling of this installation with no consideration given to these costs.
I did not «shop» Blind Shiner” price and they were paid prior to leaving the job site for all product installed, including the incomplete install of a custom covering– BIG MISTAKE-​I should have made them wait and treated them with the lack of courtesy and respect they have shown us! While I may have part of my money back-​I do not have a completed window package as anticipated and it has introduced a great deal of stress into our home as a result of this level of service.
Their slogan is «after the sale– it is the service that counts» But I should add– it doesn’t count for much. There are many options in the window covering market –I would not recommend this as one!
