Tavern Bar and bar food was good, hotel desk man was rude until we asked to talk to the manager, manager was helpful and nice, ate at the buffet aaltos, clearly got the vibe the kitchen staff are a team and get to enjoy the buffet food that is not eaten because the anger we caused by eating was visible. They did not want to serve anything and quickly disappeared to the back and got after us for serving Ourselves. Stayed at all Canad inns in the last two weeks. Definitely a «no employee keeping food» policy would benefit this restraunt. Lol I top of that I then paid my Bill and left and the host guy chased Me down the hallway and tried to hold Me hostage because he thought someone I was with was trying to skip out on the 20 dollar bill, the guy felt and looked pretty dumb when he came out of the bathroom !! WORSTHOTELINCANADA definitely worst customer service in Winnipeg and Canad inns, I want to leave right now and don’t even care about The money but my friend refuses. Follow up: house keeping started yelling at each other in Filipino(not that I care what language anyone talks; just want to accurately describe what happened) down the hallway at 8:44am and entered our suite to clean it at exactly 9.52 after I clearly said we still occupied the suite. All In all the staff here basically just want You to leave and make it clear they are waiting for You to depart Basically, you will feel unwelcomed here Definitely recommend choosing somewhere else; although another hotel would be recommended, even another Canad inn would be a huge improvement.

The meals are great and reasonable price at the restaurant. The all you can eat seafood gives red lobster a run for a fraction of the price

The password-free wifi is extremely slow. The bathroom is the dirtiest bathroom I’ve ever seen. Anywhere, let alone in a hotel. The bathroom walls smelled of smoke. The bathroom towels are so thin, I could(almost) see through them. The server in the Aaltos dinning room didn’t know how to make a Manhattan drink. I don’t think the bathroom stall was cleaned during the housekeeping rounds, although I suppose that’s not a huge deal, since it was all my own dirt. ?? Maybe. The glasses were real glass but were also real small. It’s a «Destination Centre», with a waterslide(and taverns/pubs/casinos/booze store for adults), so I heard children screaming and running down the halls from 5pm when I arrived at the hotel both days I stayed there until close to 11pm. The TV reception was at times snowy. I’ve not seen snowy TV since I was about 7 years old. AND I stayed the night the clocks«fell back» and the staff didn’t account for that, so woke me up an hour early with their phone call by a computer that wasn’t set to the correct time. This was enough to make me want to give them only one star. I mean, really? The one night a year I get an extra hour of sleep? On the good side? The lighting of the room was actually adequate(a first, I think, in my experience with hotels). I could control the temperature of the room — and this alone makes it a better place to stay than the Radission Winnipeg Downtown. And worth 2 stars. If you want a hotel close to the Hospital, I’m pretty sure this is the only option. I suppose I didn’t check for bed and breakfasts. Maybe this is something Winnipeggers should look into providing.
