History

Established in 2006.

Doug’s Technical Help started out small, and has remained that way. When you call DTH, you get me, every time, not one new tech after another.

Originally DTH was a full-​time job and I sought both business and residential customers, but as I am now a stay-​at-​home Dad on weekdays, I am focusing on residential customers, and businesses that do not need immediate, daytime support.

Business Owner

Doug Knight spent two years at Red River College studying Computer Engineering Technology. He went on to complete the MCSE Microsoft Certification; a certification aimed at server administration.

Since 1997 Doug has worked in the I.T. industry as a freelancer for private and government organizations, including the North West Company and the Royal Canadian Mint.

In 2006, after the Microsoft certification had expired, Doug started Doug’s Technical Help to focus on quality residential and small business support.

Doug is currently a stay-​at-​home dad by day, computer technician by night… and weekends. He also has written for Outwords magazine, Winnipeg’s best-​known GBLT publication.
