A nice breakfast at the Winnipeg airport. Their mocha coffee is truly exceptional. Enjoy Stella’s before you depart from Winnipeg!

I dropped in for the first time today on my way out of Winnipeg. I ordered the breakfast even though it was lunch time. It turned out to be not just some of the best airport food I’ve eaten, it was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had at any restaurant. Over easy eggs: great! They were fresh, cooked right and organic. The yolks were brighter than what i get at home. Potatoes: good. Not to dry. Cooked right. They provided ketchup, but it wasn’t needed. Sausage: great! A good spice, but not too spicy. Toast: great. I think the sourdough bread was homemade. The jam definately was. So basically, I was quite impressed! Oh, and even though I had plenty of time, the service was fast and friendly.

Stella’s at YWG is my new favourite airport restaurant. Excellent service by attentive and motivated staff. I had the gravlax dinner, which was very fresh, light, and plentiful. The atmosphere is rushed, and I felt like I was on a patio, not in an airport! Hands down — the best airport meal I have ever eaten. Well done. Will absolutely return again the next time I am in Winnipeg.

I love the new YWG and love that the food selection has been enhanced by the addition of Stella’s Café & Bakery in the public part of the airport. You can’t miss this place as it’s positioned right before the secure area. It’s great that you can buy something yummy and nutritious before a flight or have a nice meal before heading into the secure area. The secure area doesn’t offer much for food so get something here instead! The menu at this location is the same as any other and I have to say the food quality is very consistent with very fast food service. You can sit in a more private area that has more natural light towards the back of the restaurant or if you want to people watch, sit in the front section. The«stella’s club»($ 10.45) is served on toasted multigrain bread with crisp bacon, oven roasted chicken, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato & mayo. I opted for the soup special instead of a salad and got the very warm and comforting butternut squash soup which had the best hit of Indian spices which really enhanced this soup. The«toasted tuna»($ 9.45) has tuna blended with fresh celery, green onion, mayo, dijon & dill pickle on toasted sourdough bread with lettuce & tomato. The tuna wasn’t drenched in mayo(which is a plus). The side potato salad was pretty bland so I’d suggest going with their other salad options instead. Service was prompt and friendly.
