My wife and I are both busy professionals, and our hectic schedules don’t always allow for proper meal planning. Either variety or healthy choices take a back seat when we don’t plan properly. This is where Supper Central comes in. Each month they put out a menu of 10 – 12 dishes to choose from. There is usually one or more of beef, chicken, pork, fish and vegetarian choices. The menu rotates each month, and this creates a lot of variety. Once in a while they bring back favourites. The favourites are chosen by customers using a rating system online. The concept is that you select your meals online, and book an appointment. At your appointment you rotate through each station preparing your meal into freezer bags. All of the ingredients are chopped and ready to assemble! You simply follow the instructions, and create a complete meal in a bag to cook at a later date. We typically make 12 meals a month and keep them in the freezer until needed. Our favourite meals are: Honey Dij-ilicious Chicken Chicken Enchiladas with Mexican Rice Gotta Thai It Chicken Pizza Mmm…Meatball Lasagna Chicken Paresan with Sesame Carrots Bourbon Steak Marinated New York Strip Steaks w/Horseradish Sauce There are other favourites as well. While not every meal is a winner there is more good than bad. It’s no different than trying something new on your own. Overall the meals are great and we can’t wait for the start of a month to see the new menus. Meal portions come in full-size feeding 4 – 6 people, and half-size feeding 2 – 3. We typically get the hald size which gives us both a good portion with lunch for the next day. They have a great loyalty program for referring customers and for repeat business. Every 20 meals you get one free, and every referred customer you get one free meal. The quality, variety and value are the most important benefits of Supper Central. If you are busy and lack the time to cook quality meals then this is the place for you. The staff are amazing too. My wife and I have been using Supper Central since they opened last year, and we don’t plan to stop anytime soon!
