Hmmmm… not that good and I hate to say that as I like to support small family owned restaurants. The owner is super nice and gracious so service is really good and warm. It’s hard to find good Vietnamese restaurants in the south end and unfortunately this place feels like it’s watered down Vietnamese food. The ice coffee($ 2.95) here is not strong at all which is disappointing. The coffee was too watery and the mixture of condensed milk and honey didn’t make it taste very good. I don’t recall if honey is that authentic in Vietnamese coffee but I know I am not a fan. I had #36 — grilled pork rice vermicelli bowl — a fave and litmus test for any Vietnamese restaurant I try. Unfortunately, the grilled pork wasn’t very flavourful though for $ 7.75, it was a fair portion(about a medium size bowl) with lots of the usual veggies. The fish sauce was a little diluted and the chiil sauce wasn’t very spicy. The restaurant is clean and has a very homey feel to it. There’s also a lunch buffet that runs fro 11 am to 2 pm… I think there’s a variety of items but I’d rather order off the menu as there’s lots to choose from.
