Bread & Olives Cafe

I went here for lunch with my mother, without making reservations which I will not make the mistake of doing again. Most weekdays from 12 – 1 is booked (judging by the couple additional times I have called) so I would reccomend reservations!
The food was very good though. Something different, not the usual deep fried seafood and bugers you get most other places in Yarmouth. The desserts were to die for, I had the Walnut fudge cake with homemade berry ice cream… yumm!
I’ve heard a few people complain about the prices here, but come on people, if you want good food, be prepared to pay for it! The prices are NOT that outrageous, around $ 25 for the lunch menu with dessert & coffee, per person.

Since Yarmouth is a place where fast food, pub style food, and deep fried seafood reign, I was very excited to try this place. With healthy creative foods on the menu, I was hoping it would be as good as the online menu sounds.
I ordered the chicken panini and a cappuccino, my wife the Brie panini, and my daughter had a couple of croissants.
The cappuccino came promptly, but was a little bland for me. I guess the beans they use must be very light, as they do have a proper espresso machine in house. When the panini came, my wife was given the wrong panini. After I was half done my panini, they came with another panini for my wife which again was the wrong one. After I was completely finished my panini, my wife finally got the right one. This being a new restaurant, I can tolerate such mistakes, but I think they should have offered something for the error in service.
The panini was very good. And my wife really liked hers as well. The salad that comes on the side was very fresh and a good combination of veggies, but the dressing could have been a bit spicier (maybe more vinegar). The croissants were tasty. My 2 ½ year old daughter almost finished both of them.
Although we did not try the selection of sweets, we did look in the display case, and they looked superb. We’ll have to try them next time.
The atmosphere is good. Clean and simple.
Pricing is a little high, but tolerable.
I hope they can work out the few kinks, as it is really great to have such an option in Yarmouth.
