History

Established in 1973.

We are a family owned business, with 3^rd generation now working along side us. We are operating on the family farm that has been in the Steckle family for 150 years. Starting with 2000 sq ft of greenhouse in 1973, we have grown to 60,000 sq ft and in additrion grow seasonally on outdoor space of about 2 acres. We operate year round. We post events regularly on Facebook and Twitter so you can keep up to date with our activities.

Business Owner

Kevin grew up in the greenhouse business, and after graduating from Ridgetown College with a diploma in horticultural crops management, joined his mom & dad in the family business. Kevin has kept up to date with the latest in plant introductions and technology of a modern greenhouse and attends conferences when possible as well as using online information. Kevin is the production manager and along with his wife Lorraine, who is the retail sales manager have grown Huron Ridge into a destination for gardeners looking for superior quality plants and excellence in customer service. Kevin’s dad, Dave and mom, Carol are still owners of the business and are very involved, particularly during the busiest seasons.
