Classic Cafe

A pasos del metro Santa Lucía, por calle San Isidro, se instala un pequeño y ondero café, que invita a disfrutar una taza caliente en un lugar acogedor. Con mesones altos de madera y perfectamente limpios, la idea es que puedas servirte un café improvisado, porque acá lo más importante es la rapidez del servicio… y quienes atiende lo saben.
Además, a la hora de almuerzo, puedes disfrutar de colaciones a precios accesibles, con menús desde los $ 3.500 hacía arriba. Pero si deseas probar sus platos, tienes que llegar temprano, ya que el espacio es reducido, y decenas de oficinistas llegan desde las 13:00 horas a disfrutar del menú del día de Classic Café.

Classic Café, a 2-​story café (one of the 3 on the block of San Isidro) is, like its namesake, quite classic. They offer exactly what you need and expect in a small café: good coffee, relaxing ambiance and WIFI. Plus, the location is great — only steps away from the Santa Lucia metro!
The café has seating outside, on the very busy street of San Isdro where, on any given day, you can see street musicians, performers, hawkers and dogs — tons of street dogs! I prefer the outside seating on a summers day (especially nice if you order a scoop of their artesanal ice cream to enjoy outside), and for the smokers that like a cigarette with their coffee, this is where it’s at.
However, on the colder winter days, it is nice to sit upstairs and look over the busy city street while enjoying your espresso.
They also have lunch specials that they make depending on the weather. For example, every time it is cloudy and cold I have seen them offering soups, sopaipillas and pan amasado (the most delicious bread I have come across… except for sourdough of course ;))
They have good WIFI but I don’t recommend working there for the day as the seating upstairs is very small so they expect their turnover to be high.
