Awesome service and attention… Just know even though there are many of them to help serve, they may be slow… Food was great, we had a set meal planned!

Freddie was an excellent waiter. Service and ambiance were great and they were accommodating. The food was decent, not amazing. Located in great area to walk around and check out the bar scenes lively and fun on a Tuesday night!

The concept is very nice. It is based on a book and movie which I never heard of. The food is really good which is a combination of Mexican with other cuisines. I had a fish plate which had shrimps, clams, and calamaris too with Merken. The presentation was very cool. They bring the food in a stoned plate and wrapped in aluminum foil. The waiter puts the stoned plate on fire for couple of second, for extra heat and nice presentation.

Food was good and service was poor. It started strong and slowly deteriorated. Drinks came once and not until the food came out. One person in our party had a plate come out cold! Overall, better off pass on this place…

Dinner was great! Early for Santiago we went in at 7:30 with no reservation on Sunday evening. Our waiter Raul was attentive and patient with our lack of Spanish. Pisco sour was good, appetizer was delicious 3 gratins of seafood and our entre was huge: seafood beef and chicken. It said for two but could easily have fed four. Wine suggested by Raul was also very good Pinot noir. Tres leches dessert was also fabulous.

We made a reservation for my birthday a month in advance through Mastercard concierge. When we called the night before to confirm it they didn’t have it. The manager came to the phone and tried to solve the issue. the experience was not memorable. Rude server, not very keen on giving us a good service, basically made the whole bday dinner a non special event. We complained and they offered a complimentary dessert. For a family from sao paulo, who have traveled the world the food was NOT gourmet, not even seasoned right. We had the congrio(national fish) and there was nothing special about it. 50,000 pesos for nothing will never go back, try any other option at patio bellavista.

Not worth the wait The service is terrible. After waiting an hour to get in, we waited almost another hour to be served our meal. Food was nothing special.

Fica bem localizado, saindo do patio bella vista.

I’ve been coming to Santiago for years and Como Agua para Chocolate has been a favorite time and time again. That being said I’m only giving it 3 stars because the quality has really diminished over time. The restaurant is in the Bellavista area which has many restaurants, cafes, bars etc. The restaurant itself is very charming and interesting. The piscos are a must. It’s usually pretty busy, but if you don’t have a reservation the wait isn’t that terrible. Just go to the bar and have a Pisco sour and the time flies. I find that over the years the quality of the food has gone down. On a recent visit our dinner was lukewarm to cold. The downside of sitting outside are the smokers(and for some reason EVERYBODY smokes in Chile !!!) and the people asking for money or selling useless junk. As a Canadian I love to sit outside as much as possible while dining, our winters are long and never ending. Try to avoid it at this restaurant, it doesn’t bode for a pleasant dining experience. The service is standard Chilean … don’t expect the waiter/waitress to be attentive or friendly. The one thing that did shock me, the price for the Tres Leches dessert … $ 18CDN … I’ve had it before and don’t remember paying that much !!! It is delicious and a pretty presentation, but I’m sorry … no dessert is worth $ 18 unless there is a prize once finished. Will I be back, probably, but I’ll go out of my way to try something different next time.
