nice little café with tasty burgers and salads. It is located in a side street behind the famous shopping center, Polladium. here they speak also very good English and you feel welcome! Good prices, something that is everywhere in Prague: D In addition, it is also opportunities for those with allergies. Whatever allergies one has so fixes the it. This is gonne be one of my favorit café in Prague!

A pretty nice little bistro very close to Café Imperial but rather than serving international cuisine like the former it focuses mainly on burgers. They’re pretty good with home made fries and mayo. With Stella and Staropramen on tap. Best time to visit is for a quick lunch.

I highly recommend the restaurant to all, who have the same problem as me — unfortunately they are gluten free. Yes, I know that, the burger without a bread roll is not a burger, but the«hairless dog» is simply a great option for people like me :-) Iterior is ok, also the stuff.

Really disappointed in everything about this experience. I’d been looking forward to trying Palanda after reading all the great reviews and was super excited to finally be heading into the center around lunch time. So we popped in, ready to enjoy«one of the finest burgers» in Prague. Well, suffice it to say, that isn’t what we found. The place is small and not super welcoming. Tables are close together, and finding a parking space for our pram proved very tight. After dragging it up several steps, we didn’t want to abandon ship quite yet, so we sat down. The menu looked very interesting. I love blue cheese and onions, but hate mushrooms. There was a burger with blue cheese and mushrooms. The next burger on the menu included an onion compote. Great! I asked the waitress to sub the onion compote for the mushrooms. The response was as surprising as it was arrogant. «The chef has created these all perfectly, and we do not substitute any item because it will not be good as the perfection that is listed on the menu. This burger(she pointed at the first burger on the menu) took 8 months to create. It’s perfect.» Ah, so the chef knows what I like more than I do. Got it. Back to the drawing board, let’s pick a different burger. So after reviewing the menu for a few more minutes, I decided on the BBQ bacon cheeseburger. The waitress said it was the most-popular on the menu. Next problem: «Would you like that cooked medium?» My response, no, medium rare. «We only offer rare, medium, and well. It’s too hard to get medium rare and medium well.» Another conundrum. Do I order rare, and get a burger that, given my experience in this country, is just short of steak tartar, or do I go for medium and get something dry and tasteless. The waitress said the medium was still juicy and slightly pink. Ok, medium it is. I also asked if it was okay to have the blue cheese sauce they listed as a side on the menu. This was a real question. Given my experience this fair at the almighty Palanda, I wasn’t sure it would be allowed. Regretfully(read on to find out why), it was permitted. The food arrived quite quickly, and we dug in. The burger was of course not pink at all. Slightly juicy, it had a compressed and rubbery grind that seemed to have been created by someone who had only ever seen a photo of a burger before. So disappointing, given that so many reviews comment positively about the grind. Go to Dish or Mozaika if you want to experience proper burger texture. Not this place. It was gross. The bacon was forgettable, not crunchy at all. The BBQ sauce was overly sweet and thankfully barely there. Overall, this masterpiece – where no portion could be substituted – was a forgettable pile of crap. We both agreed that our food was disappointing, regardless of the clearly false hype. The blue cheese sauce was a runny concoction that felt as if it had never even been brushed up against blue cheese, no chunks to be found and no taste for that matter either. The included fries and mayo were quite good. All in all, one of the worst burger experiences I’ve had in Prague. Go back to the drawing board, Palanda. Learn to respect your customers a bit more. Even blanking Burger King gives you a burger the way you want it! Your arrogance is not even justified… at least make an extraordinary product if your going to be so customer unfriendly. So so so disappointing, especially given the other wonderful option that exist within Prague. I’ll never go back, and I recommend you avoid the disappointment and avoid this place at all costs. Amazing to now hear all about how they’ve purchased their«best of» awards. Clearly, the only way they’d ever win such a thing. Pity. You can do so much better.

I’m an American, so I should know burgers right? Well then, go here and prepare to be amazed by the burgers and fries. Mine was cooked just right(medium rare, of course) and their fries were amazing. The buns were soft. Waited a bit for the food to arrive, but it was a crowded night. If you need a break from the usual fare of meat and potatoes, Café Palanda should be #1 on your must-eat list.

If you visit Prague you HAVE to try this place! — It is the best burgers we have ever eaten. Wish this place were in Copenhagen — …but on the other hand, then we just have to come back to Prague to get the Best Burgers ever :-D

We were looking for a nice burger and we found a nice burger, they serve sandwiches aswell, but we went for the Burger. The Burger was really nice, different choices, homemade bread, medium rare meat(if u ask) and everything you are normally looking for a good burger. The fries were not that overwhelming, but fair enough and not really a downer :)

We walked in without a reservation and the restaurant was so busy. Luckily they had a shared table that we sat at just before another group walked in. I HIGHLY recommend getting a reservation for this place. We had lager, unfiltered beer, a steak sandwich, and a black IPA burger both with fries. Everything was delicious and the servers were in a good mood. I would definitely eat here again. My only comment is that there are no locks on the bathroom doors in the women’s restroom, which was strange.

My husband and I happened upon Palanda by mistake. It is located across from an Airbnb we stayed at and we were famished after arriving in Prague via a late flight from Heathrow. As we waited for our Airbnb host to arrive and check us in, we stared across the street at the illuminated«Burgers» sign. Neither of us were really in the mood for a burger but neither of us really wanted to spend an extra second of our lives walking to a restaurant. After checking into our apartment and connecting to wifi, we Unilocaled Palanda and given it’s solid four-star rating, we decided it was go. Palanda gets a solid four stars from me. Four point five, actually, but I had to deduct a full one star because I wasn’t a huge fan of skin-on fries. This isn’t necessarily Palanda’s fault but when paired with a slight undercook of said fries, it’s something I really dislike. Fries aside, the food was fantastic. I ordered the flank steak(not a term I’ve heard outside of the US and was excited to see) sandwich minus mayonaise and, oh, it was so delicious. This sandwich was one of the meals I have had in a long time. I have been dreaming about returning to Palanda since our last visit which is not even 24 hours ago. My husband ordered the royal cheeseburger and said it was delicious as well and he also really loved the fries but he likes skin-on fries, so a win-win for him. Service was friendly and fast though we were the last people to get a table without a reservation(and we had to sit at the bar). Bonus. Beer was super cold. Double bonus. The entire restaurant is non-smoking. Triple bonus. I’d totally return to Palanda in a heartbeat. Note: Reservations recommended even on weekdays. We visited at approximately 8pm on a Thursday and the place was packed.

I’d go back in a heartbeat! Best burger & fries that I’ve ever had in Prague. All the burgers on the menu are fantastic but I found a soft spot for the«Beef Reblochon Burger». 170g of beef cooked to your liking, with caramelized onions in a Port Wine sauce, Reblochon cheese… and go. Mouth watering. Served with fries, home made slaw and garlic dip for your fries. Heaven!

On a quest for the best burger in Prague. This is the closest I have come to find it. Bun was soft, brioche, really nice. Fries were homemade and seasoned well. The burger itself was good, not amazing but good. It is rather large in size and fits the bun though. They have a few interesting choices to pick from, but I would suggest stick to the royal unless you are looking for something a bit different in taste. The staff here is awesome, super friendly, speak english and our server Christina was a real delight! We will go back just to be served by her again! The food came pretty quickly, our orders were right, but they have no ketchup!!! I would say they may need to adjust that one factor, but otherwise excellent experience. Staff here is awesome!

After dragging myself out of bed after a late night out on the town… This establishment was a godsend! One of the best burgers I’ve ever had, and a nice draft beer to go along with it.

Me and my girlfriend are huge fans of burgers. Palanda happened to be the only place where we could reserve a table for last Saturday night and it came down to be the best place we could feast out. Everything from the service, prices and food quality is great. They have a great house dressing and oh those medium rare patties are enough reason for us to move next to the restaurant. I’m definitely going back this weekend.

After reading the reviews and that the restaurant is around the corner from our hotel we dropped in for a quick dinner. Although known for the burgers, I had the chicken burger and Matty had the steak tartar and both were quite enjoyable. We were seated quickly and enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was prompt and delicious and the service was very good! Interesting side note, the establishment has no ketchup.

Went there again today and the burgers lived up the hype. Bun was soft and fries were fresh. The only reason I can come up with as to why my first experience was so bad was because the restaurant was packed full. With all these new burger joints opening, by no means would I crown Café Palanda with the title ‘best burgers in town’ as they claim, but the Royal Cheeseburger was very enjoyable(especially with those caramelized onions).
