Food was ok. Beer was cheap, although the bartender doesn’t know how to pour as half of the beer was foam. The staff was very average for Prague, so not great but still expect a good tip. No. Not today good sir.

Hmmm. Ok. That’s about it.
Atmosphere was nice. Service was excellent. Beer tasty and cold.
But the food was just bland. Pork knuckle. Chicken wings. And goulash. Nothing stood out. Sadly.
If you’re hangry, or with a crowd that wants to eat here, don’t sweat it. But if you want a ‘great’ meal… I just think you can do better.
Go here to drink and to grab a snack. Certainly cheaper than most near old town.

This place was recommended to our group by our free walking tour guide as a «local spot» with good food. Surprisingly close to the old town square and prices were definitely cheaper than what we were seeing, which is my way of thinking our tour guide was right. Plus, it didn’t look very touristy on the inside.
We ordered the Chicken Wings, the Pork Knuckle and the ribs along side a few beers. All of our dishes were amazing. we split all three between 4 of us and we were stuffed! I would absolutely recommend this place.

Sandemans New Europe Tours uses this joint as their office, and a mid-​tour stop for the free walking tour of Prague (which is excellent — well worth a good tip for the guides). They have a great «tour stop» menu which comes out quickly and is nice and cheap (under 200Kc for a good bite to eat and a beer).
Back in 2012 we came here on a beer tour as well, as they sell unfiltered Gambrinus beer which is outstanding, and had access to the full menu. Unlike lots of places in Prague 1 where you’re going to get charged a fortune for a meal, the value is pretty good.

C’est par hasard, perdu dans les rues de Prague, que ce restaurant ressemblant plus à un bistrot attira mon attention grâce à ses grandes baies vitrées et ses assiettes plus qu’appétissantes. Malgré un accueil un peu rude et la fumée de cigarette, c’est le genre d’endroit simple où on se sent bien.
La gastronomie tchèque étant toute relative, la carte joue le grand jeu dès son ouverture: les spécialités du restaurant vous sont présentées en photo, tout comme l’assortiment de bières. Que ce soit pour un jambonneau ou canard rôti ou encore des ribs, il faudra être patient pour recevoir votre plat mais quelle récompense !
La cuisine est vraiment délicieuse et il faudra être motivé pour arriver au bout de sont repas.
Pour la bière, il faudra cependant se restreindre à leur «Local beer» qui est en fait de la Gambrinus non-​filtrée au fût, mais qui est une des meilleures bières bues durant mon séjour (facile, les autres sont soit presque inbuvables, soit complètement insipides).
Bref, à recommander pour tout, sauf pour la chaleur de ses occupants.

Schönes Bier und Speisen-​Lokal in Down-​Town Prag. Das Bier war super-​lecker, gut gekühlt. Allerdings mit der hälfte an Schaum und der anderen Hälfte an Bier nicht wirklich fair gezapft.
Die Atmosphäre und die hinter Glas befindliche Brauanlage habe einen extra Stern gebracht sonst wären es nur drei Sterne.

We were on a 3 hour Prague walking tour and it was 27C out! What better way to quench your thirst and rest your feet than on a beer break!
I mean, BEER break.
Since beer is literally cheaper than water (still water will cost you 70kc or € 3 and beer 39 kc or € 1.50) obviously, my Asian thrift genes took charge even though I’m not really into beer. The Gambrinus light beer is delicious which they brew in house.
New Sandemanns Europe tour office is also located here in the basement. If you need to book a Kutna Hora tour, theirs is the best value for your time and money.

Stopped in here for a beer while out on a tour. I guess they use this as homebase/​resting stop. I only had beer here but they place looked nice and the food I saw going by was better looking that I thought it would be.

Lived in Praha for 2 years. This place has awesome ribs at a very reasonable price. Portions are large and very tasty. Beer is good and most of the other food we tried was also very decent.
With this being located in Praha 1 (tourist central), you would expect tourist prices, but this is one of the few exceptions to that rule. Prices are very reasonable, and there is a large downstairs area (basement level) where you can make reservations for 20people or so without too much bother.

One of the most appealing things about this place is that they had non-​smoking section. The food was excellent and the portions were massive. Reasonable priced and the service was attentive as well. I had the roast duck which was crispy on the outside and not even a little dry. I would recommend this place to anyone in Prague looking for a dinner spot.

Had the ribs which were around $ ¹⁰⁄₂₀₀ Koruna. What a great deal. The portion size was huge and included a side of what I’m assuming was Czech cole slaw. My girlfriend got an entire half duck with potato dumplings for around the same price. We got those 2 entrees plus a size of roast potatoes, 2 waters, and 4 .5 l beers all for around 770 Koruna/​$ 28. A bargain! The night before we ate at Lokal, another Czech restaurant. Not only did Stupartska have better food, it was cheaper and had larger portions. I would definitely return here and I would recommend it.
Finally, in addition to all the above, it had 4 different types of beer (plus an additional type of non-​alcoholic beer) and a pretty decent cider.

Endroit très bruyant. Cuisine commune. Beau choix de bières.
