What a wonderful place! Prague is one of the top touristic destination in the world but Czech people are not the most welcoming, they are serious and not too much smiley. Here instead you could see that not every place is the same. The waiter was very nice and gave good advices to us that we just landed few hours before and had no idea what the Czech cuisine was famous for. Now I am back home and I know that I plan a come back to Prague to taste its fantastic beers and this restaurant would completely be on my list.

I don’t know what’s wrong with the average reviews, but we were soo stuffed from the delicious food at this pub. We also had good service! We shared an addicting garlic soup, a mountain of fresh salad topped with tuna and an appetizer that’s funnily called«flatulence». I admit I only ordered that because of the name, but its just onion rings! ;-) This was our last meal in Prague and quite frankly, after quite a few meals of meat, carbs and beer, I had to try something else. The fried carp in garlic and lemon were complemented with perfectly boiled BUTTERED potatoes. My brother liked his fish filet with tomatoes and olives. And as a last hurrah, the bf got the goulash with bread dumplings which didn’t disappoint. We all had a refreshing Pilsner Urquell to wash everything down. Why is beer so MUCH better in Prague?! Check out the crude cartoonish artworks hanging on the walls. It might whet your appetite … or not.

This was a good venue to visit. The bartender was friendly and let me taste some of the new beers. He also offered his opinion(when asked) on whether a food selection was any good. Often you’ll get a response that isn’t very helpful as they«don’t know what you like», but here they gave some good feedback. The interior is interesting with some graphic cartoon drawings. If you’re easily offended by nude or potentially vulgar cartoonistry you should go somewhere else.

Good Czech food. Service ok. Cheap prices. Worth a visit. Roast pork was delish. Dumplings better after a few bites. Husband loved the carp.
