Service 1 a super freundlich, schnell, sehr sehr herzlich.

Love this place! We walked all around town for local Czech cuisine. Determined to avoid touristy traps, we went into U Dvou Sester as it looked very inviting from the outside. It was still early on in the evening but the restaurant was already filled. Luckily, there is another room at the back. Immediately we were welcomed and were seated. We tried as many local dishes as we could. We tried the goulash soup, a delicious pork dish with a buttery sweet cream sauce served with white bread, a cabbage soup and a succulent pork knuckle. All very tasty for about € 20 each. Not a bad place for a decent meal!

Visited in the end December between the holidays, every venue is pretty packed and staff is running on E. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Don’t be a sucker for the traditional interior decoration, the quality of the meal was average. Ordered the onion soup, very good. Gaberinous beer, very good. Ordered pappardelle alla Bolognese, was presented with lasagna. Took 20 minutes for the fix, my partner had finished her meal by then. When I received my pappardelle, I asked for extra cheese. Never received my cheese, since if I had waited I would have been eating a pasta salad by then. As a fix to that our waitress gave us a free shot of the local vodka. Unfortunately the vodka did not heal these wounds. Overall experience, food is average for the area, somewhat pricy but what hurt was the staff/service. Enjoy

A nice traditional style food place. I had the sausage appetizer, 2 of them actually ;) but I like simple traditional food. Also had the goulash bread bowl and it was spot on. The apple pie wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad… the most memorable thing was the unfiltered Staropramen beer on draft. Delicious and strong!

U Dvou Sester was our very first meal in Prague. Our party of four stayed in a condo and the local property management representative suggested this place to us. He gave the disclaimer, though, that(1) the entire Old Town is filled with touristy restaurants,(2) the food will be a bit more expensive to very ridiculously expensive in this area when compared to your local joint somewhere outside of Old Town. After assuring him that we are aware and will not blame him for suggesting a place that is more expensive with the ‘average’ local joint, he gave us U Dvou Sester. The restaurant was very cute. The décor is this rustic yet quaint vibe. We walked in and one of the servers asked if we had a reservation. Nope, but no problem, we still got seated at a table near the front door immediately. The service was very friendly and when we saw the prices, we thought they were very reasonable(disclaimer, we obviously aren’t locals, but we thought the prices and later tasted the food plus weighing the location, thought it was more than fair). Hubbo and my brother in law both ordered the pork knuckle dish. I highly recommend this dish because I tried a bite, then another bite, then was pestering my hubbo to cut me some more. It was tender(like fork-tender) and delicious. If you aren’t afraid of a little bit of skin, fat, and collagen… this is da bomb! I ordered their pork and Czech dumplings because i figure it sounds like a very traditional dish, and it was delicious as well(but the star was still the pork knuckle). We also each enjoyed a beer… or two… or three… Anyways, at the end, we all felt very satisfied, full in the tummy and pleasantly surprised at how delicious Czech cuisine was.

First time coming to Prague, I’m already enjoying the city and especially the food. I thought the food here was really great and the service was pretty okay. Everything was great. I ordered the chef specialty and it was the grilled pork medallions with mushroom. This is something I’ve never try before and it was so good! I really the way they grilled the pork. It was just right for me and especially the sauce that was in the plate. I also ordered the lemon based beer and it was interesting and it tasted really good and really smooth. My dinner was great! Definitely worth coming back again!!!
