Went there yesterday for a late dinner. The atmosphere is great from the design to the music, everything got me excited to eat there. I asked the waiter if I could add truffle to my pizza and he blew my mind! With his Italian accent he told me why I should chose a different pizza if I want truffle on it. He was so passion about food that I knew I had to listen to him so I got number 6 with truffle and it might have been the best thing I have ever had!!! I wish everyone was as passionate and excited about their job as he was! Just fantastic. Oh and we also had the stuffed olives as an apéritif, highly suggest them!

Great place! I have only tried their pizzas but every time it has been delicious. Thin crusted pizza with funky ingredients that somehow work very good together they have one made with truffle oil which is my absolute favorite. They have cool big round tables to come with a big group. The atmosphere is nice it has a kind of party like ambiance with cool music and quite dark. I tried their cheese plate the burratta is to die for. The wine menu is quite good but on the expensive side, the have a nice selection of beers as well a cool place to visit plus they a have a super cool Beer bar just beside Brus that could make a perfect place for a beer before or after some pizza. Will definitely recommend it and I will definitely come back!

Started with great promise. The host and hostess were very welcoming and the neighborhood is charming. We were seated quickly and got a walkthrough of the menu. But overall the experience was not one worth repeating. In fact, I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. Pretentious, even for Europe… First, despite having a full bar the waitress informed us that they were unable to make certain cocktails(just a Manhattan, nothing exotic). Something about the bourbon not being organic. Second our pizza, which arrived quickly, had undercooked dough and burnt crust. Third, while clearing the table the waitress took a drink which still had several sips left in it. Fourth, this restaurant is known for carrying a unique style of orange wine. We asked for a taste before getting a glass and were rebuffed. The waitress stated that if they gave away tastes to everyone who asked, they would be «basically giving away free wine.» Never seen a restaurant which would not let you taste from a bottle which was already open. Lastly, they charged for tap water. Perhaps our experience was an outlier. In the end, we spent $ 60 on a small pizza and 2 cocktails. Our suggestion is to pass on this.

I really enjoyed my meal at Baest. Although the food is really heavy and filling it is packed with bold flavours. Ordered the leek pizza, pickled mussels, brussel sprouts, mushroom polenta(the polenta a bit too heavy for my liking but still good) with some nice wine and was fully satisfied. They are using great quality ingredients, organic when possible. It’s a sister restaurant of Relae so it gets quite busy, a reso is definitely needed. I would eat here again if I lived in Copenhagen but if I simply just visited the city again I would try other spots(there are so many options!) but Baest is worth trying once at least!

I tried Bæst upon the recommendation of a friend attending graduate school in Copenhagen. I really loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and all the food we tried was excellent. We ordered the«small» tasting menu with was surprisingly a lot of food. The homemade mozzarella was definitely our favorite dish. The pizza, meats, and cheeses were all very good.

Semi-affordable gourmet pizzas in a lovely atmosphere(plus great service) We were a larger party coming in to celebrate a graduation. For starters, we had the«Bæst selection» of charcuterie followed by a series of pizzas.(Note, that there’s nothing for vegetarians in the charcuterie). The charcuterie selection is huge and seemed to be more than enough as a starter for four people(don’t take me up on that). The pizzas are specialty/gourmet pizzas similar to the Mother and Neighborhood restaurants in the Vesterbro neighborhood, and prices are also similar: 90 – 150 kr. for a pizza. Of the four pizzas we got, there was only one downer — the blue cheese pizza — which had cumin on it. The atmosphere of the place is great. Warm, cosy, and friendly are the words that describe it best. I’m looking forward to coming back! :)

What can I say. First night in Copenhagen and I had high hopes for this place. Upon arrival it seemed it would live up to them. It has a great atmosphere with friendly staff and good music. The concept is amazing. However the food left much to be desired. My friend and I opted for the tasting menu with wine pairing.(Wines were on point) but the food. I mean do they taste it? The charcuterie was decent at best but odd amounts for a shared plate, making it difficult to share. The bread was terrible, dense and overfilling and served cold. When asked if it could be heated they said they couldn’t! There is a friggin pizza oven right there!!! The remainder of the courses all left plenty off room for improvement. I could go on an on. The ambiance was great but the food needs a lot of work. I can’t say I’d recommend unless your in the area just looking for a few drinks. I hope this doesn’t set the president for the rest of my trip! C’mon Copenhagen don’t let us down!

I have been looking forward to my Bæst reservation for a month. And I was excited to take two friends who do not typically indulge in going out for dinner. So I thought I couldn’t go wrong with a moderately priced place with an amazing chef. Although the buffalo mozzarella was the best I’ve ever had, and the bread was really fantastic, everyone agreed that the pizza was extremely bland. And even the two that had stronger flavors(Anchovy/onion/salsa verde and the Spinach/tomato/chili pepper/dried olives) were well-below average. The onions were way too abundant, even for an onion lover. There was too much crust for the toppings, and although I love the taste of wood fired ovens as much as the next person, it was only smokey with little flavor. It didn’t go well with the toppings. There wasn’t balance in the flavors or the textures. All I kept doing was going in for more in hopes of tasting what the rave was all about. Very disappointed. There was also only one meat on the charcuterie plate that everyone liked, which was the venison. There really was no taste at all(per the four of us) with the mushroom/nettles/crispy pork pizza. We all split a piece of that pizza and that was it. We didn’t even try to revisit it. It’s tough to return to a place solely for the burrata and bread, so we won’t, but it did rock our world. The service at the bar and at the table was impeccable. The ambiance and music were great. Unfortunately a great experience can’t make it worth the money spent on the food.

Came here tonight because we heard they had some pretty solid pizza. We started out with the pickles, all of the aged parmesans and burruta. The burruta dish was the highlight for us. It was freshly made and quite a large portion. While the aged parmesans were good they in the end weren’t memorable. We followed our starters with a margarita pizza which was pretty good and if we were to go back would most likely order it again. All in all the food was really good, the décor and ambiance was also really enjoyable. Walking in and seeing the place packed was a reassuring feeling that the food was going to be good. I took off a star because we were charged for tap water. I understand this isn’t an uncommon practice in European restaurants. However, I think it’s a bit cheap and distasteful when I come across it.

Someone recommended this restaurant to my husband and I, and the first time we went it was around 7:30pm on a friday, and we didn’t want to wait 30min, so we went back again Sunday at 630pm. We got a table right away, but was notified we only had 1 – 1.5 hours to eat as they had reservations, which was fine with us, we don’t usually take more than an hour to eat. I jokingly said«ha the only time we take longer than an hour to eat is when they mess up our order, or if the kitchen takes too long». Boy did I jinx it! Our server came over almost immediately as we sat down, got our orders, as we had a few minutes to look before she came over. Two other females were seated after us, 10 min after us, and after 15 – 20 min of waiting they got their food, but ours was missing. We ordered two pizzas, a burrata pizza and my husband ordered a ricotta cheese and crispy pork pizza. My husband said, «hey we ordered the same food». We put two and two together and figured that they must’ve gotten our food. We had to waive down our waitress, as she hadn’t once checked in on us in the 25min that we were already waiting for food, so we asked if she knew if our food was coming. She said she would check, and never came back. She checked on other tables around us, and basically ignored us. 10 minutes later, finally the pizza arrives… after about a 40 min wait for food. Our waitress still doesn’t check on us until we’ve finished eating to ask if we wanted dessert. At least she apologized for the delayed food. But the dinner was already ruined by us having to wait so long. The pizza is ‘ok’, but I might be tainted by the long wait. I’m from Vancouver, BC and I’ve had better for $ 20cdn pizza. Heck, it’s cheaper back home for gourmet pizza, but I guess copenhagen is known for their expensive foods and taxes. We were not impressed.

Went to Bæst last weekend. The restaurant was full and there were people waiting for tables at the bar. Luckily we’d booked a table. The menu is mostly pizzas or so’s menu called Lille Bæst and one called Bæst or store Bæst(don’t remember). We got Lille Bæst and started with their home made mozzarella which were enough food for us. The mozzarella was good. We got bread to almost everything. Then we got different meat(salami and other cuts) and some slices of pizza. We ordered a drink each and wine and beer. The bill ended at around 1000 kr. The food were so-so. A little too much bread and not enough interesting dishes. The service were very slow and in the end they billed us 700 kr too much. My boyfriend didn’t notice and just paid, and it was only because I double checked the bill that we found out. Otherwise we’d paid 1700 kr instead of 1000 kr. When we noticed the staff they didn’t really seem to care that much and we had to wait even longer just to get the money back in cash(we paid with card) — no apology or anything for their mistake. I would suggest that you go somewhere else and spend your money…

Roberta’s of Brookyn has come to Copenhagen! But it’s about 8 billion times better. The course menu is an incredibly good deal for the talent in the kitchen. The wine list is exciting too.

We got the ‘little beast’ menu which costs 325DKK pr person. About half of the dishes were good and the other half was mediocre. I reckon we got around 5 – 6 small servings, that was an assortment of cold meats with garnitures and two slices of pizza for each person. Additionally, we tried ordering the homemade mozzarella as an extra, which costs 125DKK for just four small pieces! Ludicrous. The service and atmosphere was great, but in the end, its all about the food for me at least. So for this value, I simply cannot give them a higher rating, because I know what else is out there and how well I could have spent my money elsewhere.

Bæst recently opened up in Nørrebro and upon recommendation from our lovely barista @ Coffee Collective, we made a booking here to eat on our last evening in CPH. Our waiter was very much on top of it, with our order being taken almost immediately via an iPad and food following shortly after. The ambiance was also lovely and though we came right as it opened, it soon filled up and was buzzing with energy by the time we left. The bf and I ordered the following: small plate of charcuterie which included some inhouse mortadella and salumi + prosciutto from Italy, homemade burrata(we had already tried some of the mozzarella from Mirabelle next door), and 2 pizzas — fermented sausage/greens and potatoes with chard. My favorite was the mortadella, burrata, and fermented sausage pizza. The pizza was clearly cooked in a wood fired oven(out in plain sight in the front) and the dough was just the right amount of chewy and crispy. I’d certainly recommend locals and visitors to come to Bæst — reminds me quite a bit of a great restaurant in San Francisco who serves up great pizza and such. My only complaint was the charge of water — which I’m aware is a normal thing in CPH, but wish we could have had a warning prior to being charged ~$ 10USD for 2 carafes of water. Other than that, service was great(very efficient) and the food was done well.
