So, the Hotel Maritime is supposed to be a 3stars hotel, I will more consider it as a good 2stars bed&breakfast, or «hotel garni» as we say in French. Plus: Location close to everything and 2mn away from Nyhaven Price(less than 100bucks a night in Copenhagen, with breakkie and in such a location) Rooms not so tiny as I thought, well about 12sqm, with a comfy double bed, chair and table, tv Very clean. Free WiFi Breakkie with breads, cereals, tea, coffee, juices, ham, eggs, fruits, yoghurt, well eat all as you want Tea, coffee and fresh water available for free 24/day. Fresh roses on the table ! Rare nowadays! Windows can open, rare too nowadays ! Rooms are cleaned up every day. Helpful staff if you need information but they won’t talk if you don’t want to. Minus: Walls are very thin, don’t forget your earplugs, you can hear neighbors skyping(…) Or snoring For the price you pay, I don’t see any other negative thing. Well yea, maybe the«Italian style» shower which means that everytime you have one, floor is super wet ! The hotel Maritimes does the job. Next door you have the Best Western City, which is more sexy inside but also double price… if you travel as a couple, it’s fine but alone, too expensive :) Enjoy !

A place to stay away from: water pressure in the bathroom nearly no existent, sterile reception, style of the late 60th! Even the breakfast looks as if from 40 years ago. The worst: they were listet on a website for smokers hotels: I asked in the booking for a smokers room, didnt receive an answer and assumed it was ok: what I learned at arrival from a grim receptionist without further notice: «you will be finded 1500 DKr if you smoke in your room»! The next surprise was the charge for paying with the credit card: not 0.75−2.4%: they charged a hefty 11%, thats plundering not only in my opinion I guess!

Our family decided to spend two days in Copenhagen before boarding our ship so it was up to an uncle to find lodging. None of us really paid any attention to the details(or did any research) as he mentioned it was centrally located(Nyhavn) and it was relatively inexpensive(HA!) So after a somewhat long flight, we arrived at the entrance of the hotel and I knew were going to be in trouble. There are some stairs to get to the main reception so beware if you have heavy luggage. This is bordering on Hostel or a 2 star hotel. Rooms are like University dorms with small, single, beds pushed against the walls and tacky blue carpeting. THEREISNOAIRCONDITIONING so beware. According to the check-in staff, Copenhagen-ers will only open the A/C 7times a year, and it was just our luck that this summer was one of the HOTTEST they have experienced. My parents and I were lucky to have a small desk fan«blowing» air but some rooms didn’t even have that. Our windows wouldn’t open all the way so needless to say we couldn’t sleep. I love the heat, but not stuffiness. Breakfast is included and is not bad: signature coffee/tea, breads, cheeses, eggs — your basic Continental grub. My parents have never stayed in a place like this and were quite upset. But thank goodness it was only a night. One star for the awesome shower power as the water pressure was what we all needed to wake us up. Now as for the price, this place wasn’t that cheap — $ 300 a night for a university dorm. Location cannot be beat as it is central so if you just want a bed to sleep, shower, and no A/C, then this is it for you. My uncle mentioned that hotels were very expensive in Copenhagen and this was the«better» deal. Still, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Everything is so expensive in Copenhagen or Kobenhavn! Why is everything so expensive? I got a sandwich with mayo and fish eggs for 20USD I couldn’t even afford the top piece of bread. This is the only hotel I could find that was A) covered by a roof and B) Under 100 bucks. It got the job done: it was clean, good location, people at the desk were nice, even the breakfast was pretty ok. If someone came up to me and said, hey Chris is this a good place to stay? I would say yes person this is a wonderful place to stay.

To be clear, I didn’t book this room. True, it’s functional and centrally located, but the rooms are small and I felt like I was staying in a college dorm. No a/c, so you had to open the windows and thank God it was cool outside. One drawback is that they were doing some sort of construction and one can hear everything. Elevator only fits about 2 at a time. Free breakfast is not bad. If you are planning to spend a lot of time sight seeing and on a budget, this place is great. But if you want to rest and recover, I would reconsider.

Functional, clean hotel located close to everything you’d want to do or see in Copenhagen. The rooms are small but the bathrooms are large with good water pressure in the shower and windows that open to let it he cooler air. There is no air conditioning but the Internet is free and the beds are comfy . Breakfast is included in your rate and includes most everything you could want: sausages, scrambled and soft boiled eggs, Danish, meats and cheeses, breads, fruits and cereals. The staff will go out of their way for you whether it’s finding you a cup of tea at an odd hour or taking your laundry to be cleaned. The housekeeping staff is also very thorough and quick. But the best thing about this hotel is that it is walking distance from most of what Copenhagen has to offer. Nyhaven is a short walk one way, the pedestrian mall the other and Christiana just across the canal. And there is also easy access to. Public transportation. Not fancy but a good choice for a decent price.
