I can get bricks of marzipan and half a pig! However, I wish I was better at the language. It would probably prevent me in not spending 99DKK in nail polish remover.

Someone must have told the workers here that a smile would go an extra mile when it comes to service. I had never been a fan of Kvickly in my first 7 years in Copenhagen. I had always been a føtex girl, but once I moved to the so-called«Italian quarter» *snort* in Amager, this is the one of the big supermarkets nearby for me to get all the things that my complicated recipe lists would call. This Kvickly is nice, brightly lit, and big and full of interesting things. I don’t know why they call Føtex as «warehouse» and Kvickly as a supermarket, but this Kvickly sells from food to electronics, from clothing to pots and pans and they sell bicycles too, reminds me of what Carrefour is like at home. I go here for fresh vegetables and other Asian cooking needs(back then there was a time when supermarkets didn’t normally have chili, ginger and the likes). I love to browse their cheese and dairy section and the whole selection of delicatessen. …and like I said, I like shopping in here because the workers were always so nice. The cashiers were always smiling and wishing you a nice day — although it might seem standard anywhere else, it’s a rarity in Denmark. The only bad thing is that you won’t have any mobile reception in there, must be something with the way they build it, but now they install free wifi so you can still browse your shopping list somewhere in your smartphone.
