Went here when I was hungover on a Sunday which was great because it was quiet, a bit dark lit and super cozy. They had free wifi and really nice, warm, affordable coffee. They also offer local mineral water which I thought was pretty cool. Homemade sandwiches and little sweets also available.

Riccos Café Studiestrade(near the City Hall) Music in English. Yay! Décor is so-so but the ambience is good. Self-service but the waitress delivered my meal Cappuccino — nice and very hot(the way I like it) and don’t need sugar(which means they heated the milk to the right temperature). After eating the sandwich(20 minutes), the cappuccino was still warm which is great. Goat cheese sandwich — very good; looks like this bread they have is quite common in Copenhagen; soft. Very good sandwich. DK93 for all that but this is Copenhagen.

It’s become quite a fun game to find all the riccos in town, most importantly«accidentally.» Each one I’ve sat in/walked by has an underlying similar element, but also possess a unique charm. I would call this one the ambiant-sheek and it is probably my favorite so far. The baristas are friendly, and will engage in conversation if you prompt it. Definitely get the cold coffee now that warm weather is on its way(deeply missed). While we were here, a fun jazz-reggae was on play and made for a funky environment. Easy place to get work done. Will come back!

This Riccos is my favorite coffee place in Copenhagen. It is located below street level and the owners have created a calm/hip atmosphere with ambient lighting, comfortable seats, a muted color palette, and a fresh playlist that sets the background for intimate conversation or studying. The goat cheese sandwich is TODIEFOR!!! It is the first thing I ordered from a café when I arrived in Copenhagen, and I’ve been dreaming about it ever since. The freshly made roll has a variety of grains and textures and is crispy on the outside while mouthwateringly soft on the inside. The pesto is one of the best I’ve tasted during my time in Copenhagen, and the selection of fresh vegetables compliments the goat cheese perfectly. This sandwich may be the best I’ve ever had. The customer service is also great here.

I love the coffee and the vibe. This Riccos is in a basement slightly below streetlevel, which gives it a cosy and quiet atmosphere. As you might know, Riccos is a small chain of coffee places in Copenhagen, and yet they manage to make you feel right at home on every visit. The staff is always pleasant, the place is neat and is great for both a chatty meetup or working at your laptop for a couple of hours. I always go for the latte: they make it with just the right amount of foam and espresso.

If it wasn’t for the 50 kroner gift certificate I probably wouldn’t have come here. It was lunchtime and I was starving. All I had was an apple. I needed some protein so I got the chicken sandwich. I noticed this riccos is cheaper than the one on fioestrade. They didn’t charge extra for the chicken. Anywhoo, so the sandwich was STUFFED! It was filled with potatoes, peppers, onions, spinach and vinaigrette dressing. The bread was hearty and soft. Definitely worth the 50 crowns. I might be back for hot chocolate since everyone seems to rave about it, but we’ll see.
