Best tacos in Copenhagen! Plus it’s one of the only food trucks in the city — definitely a «need to try». Yuca Taco is an awesome food truck moving around between a couple of spots in Copenhagen — mainly at Torvehallerne and Stefansgade across from Mikkeller. By tacos I mean«real» Mexican-style tacos — a small soft tortilla topped up with greasy pork and super spicy chili sauce on the side — the right kind, and the best kind of taco. It’s somewhat expensive due to the lack of competition — only other places I know are Hija de Sanchez, Tacos Chucho and Barburrito. Prices these four places are about the same — and pretty high: 40 kr. for a taco or around 100 kr. for three. Being the taco lover I am makes me wiling to pay a little extra for that taco goodness. I had two tacos — one with pork and one with beef(I think it was beef cheek). They were perfect. I simply have nothing bad to say about them. With the self-serve chili sauce, as you come to expect from a regular taquería I had the perfect Mexican meal. I love it!

I wish Yuca Taco was the first place I had tacos here in KBH… because then I would’ve have used them as my taco gage and would probably have rated other taco establishments in KBH lower. :X I’ve been making my way around the city to various places boasting yummy tacos and Yuca Taco is easily one of the best places in KBH to get tacos. I won’t say THE best because I have yet to try all of them(don’t worry, I will!), but most certainly worth stalking on social media to see where they will pop up next. Their tacos are so flavorful and their menu changes constantly, which keeps you wanting to come back for more… and more… and more. They’re also consistent with their quality. Some taco places that I have previously rated highly(which will go unnamed) have been unfortunately inconsistent. Such a shame too! I will freely admit, I’m a bit taco obsessed, but anything that delicious that also packs a bit of spice that will give me the sniffles is worth 5 stars in my book.

Chasing tacos — that could have been a good movie title. …and it does get better from there. You’re very advised to chase this blue truck by following their instagram, facebook, twitter — whatever. They serve good tacos and the man cooking and serving it — he does know his stuff(I’ve watched him being«interviewed» by some Mexican customers at Torvehallen). I love all the tacos they serve but my favourite must be the spicy sausage one(more like falafel than sausages to me, but hey — I’ll eat anything as long as it tastes good) — The vegetarian option is very good too, as a matter of fact, I love them and want them all. Wish I could have a taco subscription or klippekort! That could’ve been convenient: P

If you spot this baby blue van, drop everything immediately and run over there to get yourself some of the most delicious tacos in town! The menu changes every day, but I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. I have tried the pork belly and homemade sausage, and they were absolutely amazing. Delicious flavors melting together, packing just the right heat, and of course absolutely sloppy and impossible to eat without dripping everything all over yourself. Also try their aguas frescas. Street food at its finest! Follow their Instagram or Facebook to see where they will be setting up shop on any given day, but a good bet is Torvehallerne, Mikkeller, and Kødbyens Mad & Marked on Saturdays.

yes, fellow californians. a taco truck has FINALLY showed up here and it is good. little homemade corn tortillas and slowcooked meat that you can smell from down the street. they even have sauce bottles on the side so you can add more heat as you like. the prices are obviously not going to be what you’re used to but the quality is good and you can pay with dankort. how many trucks could you use a card at back in LA? the only complaints i could make are: 1) i wasn’t crazy about the horchata but then again i’m not good with dairy. 2) the pork was a little oily but i never expect my tacos to be healthy.

Yuca Taco is what I call good street food. There are only two different tacos at the menu, and they are really simple with just a few ingredients each. I like that — because it really shows that less is more. They both taste amazing, and if you need some more heat, there are sauces on the side, that you can add. The van moves every day, so it’s not sure that it’s on Stefansgade. One taco is a small snack, and three(for 70 dkk) is a small meal on the run. I don’t think that three can count as a dinner, you need something more.
