SAS Business Lounge

It’s a great comfy lounge, probably my fave because of its size and comfort factor. You can get to the lounge right after checkin by taking the escalators in front of checkin counters to the second floor. You get whisked by helpful agents into the FastTrack security (similar to Pre-​TSA) into the SAS Business Lounge to the left after security checkin. While it shares with other providers like Air Canada, it can get crowded but most of the time, if you arrive early before your flight, you’re not scrambling to settle down, get some wine/​beer, munchies and plug in. But hey, after 15 min, you just become unplugged because there are other nice features to the lounge: comfy couches in the back, reading material (in various Euro languages also), drinks galore including alcoholic, nice organic fruit, attendant staff and helpful SAS agents who have alerted me that my flight was delayed! How did she know me? I checked in with her like a half hour ago. Silently impressed.

Tip: There are showers (must reserve one as soon as you get in) and they give amenity kits depending on what you need in the shower. Don’t assume that you’ll go from the lounge to your gate. Not so. Be aware that the business lounge is right before Denmark’s Passport Control before all the boarding gates. Allow enough time to go through the lines as the lines can take 10 minutes to navigate.

I must say, not a favourite lounge of mine.
This lounge used to be for Eurobonus Gold and SAS Business travellers only. But now also SAS plus get in for free and everyone else flying SAS can pay to get in.
This means no free booze downstairs where «everybody» get in, only upstairs where GOLDers hang out. (No not even business travellers get to go upstairs).
Well, I only got to see downstairs :
It is large and modern and spacious but also crowded at times. They offer free wine and lager on taps and hot and cold beverages. Not very much snacks or bakeries but hot soup and salads.
I do not know why, but they didn’t clean the tables very fast. So we didn’t know if the seats were taken or if somebody just left it dirty.
They do have a more peaceful area in the back though. They also — and this is really nice — have showers! Ask for toiletteries in the reception.
Sit closer to the entrance for cooler air.
Free wifi, yes, but the connection sucks. too many means slow network if you even get on.
I must say compared to Aviators Lounge this felt more buzy.
No calls for boardings.

This is a pretty great lounge and trust me…with all the travel I do, I have been in a ton of these places.
I kept trying to put my finger on what I liked and I guess it comes down to the food and the comfortable seating arrangements.
First the food. There is a kitchen area area stocked with all kinds of foods. Given I was there over two meal occasions– I had a chance to sample both the breakfast and lunch offerings. Freshly prepared soups, hot dogs, danish, all kinds of coffee drinks, oatmeal, entrée salads, pasta salads, rice salads, cookies, brownies, chips and dip…pretty much enough food to keep you going no matter how long you are stuck in this airport.
And they have these comfy chairs that you sink into and really have to pull yourself out of. The wifi is fast (get the code at the front desk) and there are plenty of newspapers and magazines to lose yourself in.
And even the bathrooms were private and super clean.
I don’t travel SAS very often– but when I do, I’m happy to stop in their lounges around the world!

How do you give a business lounge a bad review? Most people will never get to go in one so I hate being the snob that says that this was just not good enough for me, but having been in the BA lounge in Heathrow T5 as well as the BA lounge in San Francisco, I can say this lounge was a massive dissapointment.
They had wine on tap, coming from those little nozzles that you would expect to get water out of. The one I tried had so much air in it that it sprayed wine all over the counter top. Thankfully none got on me.
The food was lacking and tasted microwaved. I heard some passengers saying that the chili was really good, but out of respect for my fellow passengers I would be flying with, I stayed clear of it.
There is an open bar in this lounge, if you are so lucky to be a SAS gold member and have the privilege of going upstairs. SAS however, does not share their vodka with us plebeians who are only flying Business. This was not the case with BA, where it was screwdrivers, and sea breazes galore.
The wifi was laughable and kept cutting out. I asked the lady at the front desk if she knew how long it took to get through passport control because this lounge is outside of it and the line to get through it was almost comparable to passport control at Newark. She looked at me like I was asking the dumbest question in the world and replied with a very irritated «NO.»
To be honest, this lounge mixed with the Business section of the SAS flight I was on has helped me understand why a lot of people say that flying Business is not worth the money. Had this been my first trip ever flying Business, I can imagine I would have been sorely dissapointed. Thankfully this trip was paid for with points and no cash was lost and I have now learned to never shell out cash to ever fly Business with SAS.

A hughe lounge with two service levels. Upstairs is for EuroBonus Gold members and downstairs for business class travelers.
Its welcoming scandinavian style interior is somewhat run down, but definitely high class. The only difference between upstairs and downstairs is the fact they serve booze upstairs. Other than that you might find the downstairs lounge less busy and quite.

This business lounge is very roomy and well suited for the business traveler. There’s plenty of space to have some snacks and drinks. The free wifi is great, but the speed could really be improved. There’s an area at the back (past the bathrooms) where there’s more seating and televisions. They have a children’s play area near the front entry. So, there’s something for everyone here.

The SAS lounge at Copenhagen Airport is one of the better SAS lounges around. They provide a good range of newspapers and magazines as well as access to free wifi (which is on the other hand offered all throughout the airport nowadays) and computers and printers.
The food selection is usually decent and can range from hot dogs, to salads, sandwiches and soups but I can often find something to eat here. Drinks are of course also free of charge and while not very exciting it is still good.
They also have showers that can be booked and used if one feels the need for it before traveling on. All in all a good lounge.
